Pabloc Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 @HARKIメルP is our hacker. You can try asking him, but he hates Steam, so don't be surprised if he'll politely refuse to help.
Anais Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 This is probably a stupid question, but... is this patch an update to the first restoration patch, or an entirely standalone project? Or does this go alongside the first patch?(Sorry if this has already been explained, I had a look through the thread but couldn't find anything)
CryingWestern Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Standalone project, the reason why, is because MoeNovel's translations wasn't at all accurate.
Pabloc Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 @AnaisOriginally, it was meant as an update. However, everyone from the previous team has left over time (well, except for me), and we are doing most of the TL completely from scratch, so right now it's pretty much a standalone project.
Pabloc Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 No, new people joined later on, I'm just the only member who also worked on the first restoration patch. But, I was working pretty much alone for a while. And I re-translated Common, Kotori's and Twins' routes myself, two other translators are working only on Ageha's and Amane's routes. That's why it takes forever. Rukiha 1
Decay Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I feel sorry for the poor soul working on Ageha's route. Well, if they're doing it from scratch and never even looking at the moenovel script, it may be fine, lol. I still think you should check out the moenovel version of that route sometime, Pablo, so you know the horrors the rest of us know. Oh god, why did I ever subject myself to that? CryingWestern 1
jaxter0987 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I'm going to be starting completely over once this is out. I was only a couple scenes into the story and I was planning on going for Ageha, but people told me her route is beyond fucked thanks to censorship so I completely stopped playing. I remember I offered to help awhile back and then I fell off the face of Fuwanovel and was never to be heard from again until recently. I'm glad the project is still going on and hope you don't run into any issues.
Novel21 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I'm really looking forward to this english patch very much and support the team Of all my heart.I know they Would be able to complete this patch and I belive in them. And Of course I belive in Pabloc to.Good luck with English patch and take the time as you want, don't stress yourself out.you have life to.
kaeeem Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I'm really looking forward to this re-translate project. I've recently cleared ageha's route (with the jp ver + patch, not the all-ages with restorartion, but the english is still... idk how to explain it) and now I'm idling the game until this patch is released. And I hope the sweet love will be translated too (If you still have the motivation )And good luck, just don't be stressful. I prefer late release if it means that you have less stress from finishing the patch with a deadline/target.
Stormwolf Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) Is it so bad that you're not really able to piece together what they're saying? I've often come over horrible english in fan translations but given the context it's often fairly easy to just know what they say. Edited December 11, 2015 by Stormwolf
Decay Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 With a few exceptions, you are usually able to understand what they're trying to say. But... is that really good enough? There's a reason this project exists, it really does need a retranslation. Hopefully it won't take too much longer, so you should probably just wait for it at this point.
nazim10 Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Well, the translation was terrible. I've heard horror stories about Ageha's route, but I thought it was exagerated. Turned out it was worse...

Not trying to act spoiled or impatient, it's just that we have no progression reports as far as i can see, and i'd prefer not to wait until sometime next year with no date estimation or progress reports. Edited December 12, 2015 by Stormwolf
Stormwolf Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Not really expecting a precise date though. First half of next year, second half? 2017 perhaps? I know i'm more at ease when i have some kind of time frame. And of course it sucks when dates and such can't be held, that's a given. But nothing to kick up a fuzz about, stuff happens. If they keep up with the translating then i can't do anything but give my support and respect. In the end im sure i'll wait for the retranslation anyway
Pabloc Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Amane's and Ageha's route are partially done, everything else is finished. But it's hard to say how long it can take - Ageha's route will probably require more time than others. It shouldn't take more than half a year, though that depends on my free time and the amount of distractions (current distraction: Maggot Baits ).
henriprado Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Are you guys going to translate sweet love too ?
Pabloc Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Eh, I barely have enough motivation to work on the main story, so I probably won't touch Sweet Love even with a 10 foot pole. But maybe someone else will pick it up.
Suzu-senpai Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Thank you thank you THANK YOU for doing thisI have the MoeNovel version of this and it pissed me off when I saw they took H-Scenes out to "appeal to more audiences."These VNs ain't for kids lol. But seriously, thank you <3
Dergonu Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I wasn't aware this was still going on. Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for doing this. Its really awesome of you. You guys are the best! Thank you thank you THANK YOU for doing thisI have the MoeNovel version of this and it pissed me off when I saw they took H-Scenes out to "appeal to more audiences."These VNs ain't for kids lol. But seriously, thank you <3Haha, yeah, also their actual reason for doing it was to "appeal to 12 year old french girls." ... Apparently thats the demographic they think Japanese eroge should appeal to as long as you remove the H-content.
Riku Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Yeah, it's stupid. Almost all French teenagers are really bad in English. 12 year old french girls ? Even 18 year old french girls (and boys) can't even make (or understand) a correct sentence...In my class last year, we were like 3 people with good understanding of english, 3 with a somewhat good understanding, and the rest was meh.So, yeah, it's one of the stupidest excuse I've ever seen. Anyway, thanks for your work guys ! Dergonu 1
Decay Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 They just wanted to appeal to teens in general. They made a statement about how there was a 12 year old french girl following them on facebook, but something tells me that if that was their primary demographic the translation would be in french...
Noctali Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Hello there ! Though I look happy, I'm kinda depressed right now... I've started reading/playing 4 days ago and finally came to the end of Kotori's route. I'm like overly attached to the characters and the game right now, so I just wanted to give Ageha's route a try... And here I am, completely depressed after finding out that I can't understand anything that's happening, it's not that I don't understand what's written, but it just makes no sense at all. So, I was wondering, should I keep playing it or not ? It really has been a turn-off for me. I played some VNs before, but would usually get bored before the end because of the story being just too weird or the art not to my likes. For once, I thought this game was the one, got hyped by Kotori's route, then completely broken by Ageha's. There's also so much extensions to this game, yet not any of them available for non-japanese readers, it's just sooooooo frustrating... I love you guys from the depths of my heart, I can't wait for your work to be over, please take my energy ! A(Q v Q)A Wish I'd be able to read japanese, at least I could be of some help. :/
FabrM Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I think most of us can relate to your frustration. When I started playing I chose Ageha first, because back then I didn't really know how bad the translation was. Well, let's just say I realized that pretty soon after my decision. In the end I read the whole route regardless, hoping it would get better later on. Unfortunately it didn't, so if you're still wondering if you should continue, I suggest you find something else to play until the new translation is completed. If you don't want to do that, you can also start another route, but from what I heard and read, all the other ones have quality issues as well.

I read Kotori's route first and the translation was readable (actually, at the time, I didn't know that the whole translation was messed up, and with Kotori's route I thought there was nothing wrong, maybe I didn't notice because I am not a native english speaker) Mr Poltroon 1
