(I mean, dialogue cutting, script changing etc.) if you read kelebeks comment above then it´s indeed at least partially heading towards said direction. Quote

Going to open the main game and the trial and run them next to each other. Kind of interested in seeing exactly how much they cut. Quote

Some lines get really delayed if they have like an angry animation play first before the text. The whole animation plays out, then it loads the text line. In the original they play together. Quote

On the original they play together, and both the line and the animation show up together. That's the porting for you. Not everyone is a perfectionist like @Doddler to implement everything the way it was in original. And what point was to port krkr2? They want to sell it for Android and iOS too? Quote

Just a general first impression, the translation seems fine so far. A little bit mechanical maybe, leaving out small changes in speech patterns, reactions and such, but it's definitely not bad. One small detail that is annoying me is the way they have removed individual colors for each character's dialogue. In the Japanese version, everything is pretty and colorful. The English is just boring and yellow for some stupid reason. Probably linked to the new engine I guess. Also, the art does feel a little bit ... I don't know, it just looks a bit clearer on the main game. Also, there is a tiny delay appearing here and there when you click to advance to the next line, which is a bit annoying. Hopefully these are things they can work on for the final release. (If that will ever actually be made.) (... after reading through the comments above, I am like, just repeating what @Kelebek1 has already said ... ) Quote

After saving & loading text displays two lines lower that it should so longer lines get cut off. OP movie is either recorded at 15 fps or horribly compressed. Controller support is weird, on x360 gampad A hides textbox, LT for left click and RT for right click. Quote
Kelebek1 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Feels very I wish they'd stop using "there's no use." Certainly mechanical. The characters are lacking some personality, especially Suguha. From the Japanese there's no way way he'd say "According to your information" and certainly wouldn't refer to a girl he liked and got rejected by as "Miss." No one does that in English... "I was rejected by Miss Sophie." Sounds like a fucking teacher, not a classmate. Oh well, there is no use. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Hopefully they'll get settled into the writing as it goes along and it'll improve over time. Narcosis, XReaper, Fred the Barber and 1 other 4 Quote
Ningen Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 i took some screenshots of the original game and this one. Some of the screenshots from the original game are obviously nsfw. They changed quite a few things apart from just censoring. Please refer to the spoiler. Spoiler Doesn't look that different. Oh nice, there are pictures next to the text. How sad, no pictures next to the text ;_; Yeah, no pictures next to the text in the English Version. Obviously the text isn't cut off in the Original. All chars are over 18, this is fiction, don't sell outside of Japan, etc. This product is not supported on any computer system sold or operated outside of Japan. They explain some Japanese terms. That's nice. They kept some honorifics. Not many, though. Every game needs bath scenes, this is how the bath scene ends in the English Version. In the Original your Imoutos visit you before that. Here the script from the English Game Even without Japanese skills you should see the number 300, after that your imoutos come into the bath. And here's the end of the scene. It ends with the What in the world is going to happen to me as well. They just cut the things between that. Emoshichi fell down and of course isn't wearing any underwear. Same scene in the English Version. They just don't show the cg. In this scene a frog jumped into the kimono and you have to get it out. We see some tits. Same scene. We don't see tits. Stopped playing here. Guess the other scenes are censored in the same manner. Dergonu and Onodera Punpun 2 Quote
Kelebek1 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Ah wow, I didn't realise the little pics were gone from lines. O: I did just notice that all the character sprites have been made lighter though. Someone re-compressed them so they've lost some contrast. You probably wouldn't even notice though so it's not a big deal, it's not a huge amount. Some lines have incorrect character sprites showing though, like characters showing their happy face while in the orig they've finished and gone back to passive, I don't know if that'll affect anything. Codesterz Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 If a content restoration patch is released(fan or official) I'd be willing to give it a shot, but as is I'm not interested. Can we start a petition to remove VNs from steam? The question is sarcasm... probably. Quote
Jade Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Meh the censoring wouldn't be a problem if it doesn't cut the story. Spoiler Though iirc, one of the H-scene carries a bit of importance in Yasubei's route Quote

Reveal hidden contents Though iirc, one of the H-scene carries a bit of importance in Yasubei's route I'd say the one with Ichigaku is also pretty important. Not *exactly* the H part itself, but having her tied up to the pole and her goading him to fuck her. That whole scene really gave a strong impression of how she was thinking at the time, all erratic and stuff, and how her character had negatively progressed mentally and breaks down, and all adds into the reason they team up. I wonder what they're going to do with that one. Quote

But yeah no matter what it's going to be interesting to see Quote
Gumak Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Skipped through the whole thing I can say that there are no new CGs/scenes from all-ages edition, it's just censored original release. Quote

Kelebek1 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 All the text is encrypted on the Steam version, makes trying to take it out and patch the original a lot more difficult. :x Quote

I can't debug Unity, it's all horrible because it's interpreted. Plus it's 64-bit which Olly can't do, and I hate IDA. Good on that guy if he can though. Quote

In the worst case you can still transcribe it by hand, while playing the game. KiriKiri is a pretty easy engine, so translating the cut scenes is the only really hard part. Kirikiri2 for Translators - TLWiki Obviously it won't be I doing that, though. Quote

The actual script content is oddly in csv format. Quote
