The 2015 fantasy/mystery doujin VN was announced today by Fruitbat Factory is going to be translated by Conjueror. (But this is not "the" long awaited secret project.)

The world is afflicted with a mysterious disease known as "The Enigma."
Chester, infected with this disease, finds himself washed onto a lonely island, Carlyle.

As he is being given a tour of the island by the girl who nursed him back to health, Chester finds himself feeling that something is off. There are no doctors from the mainland. Not only is there no information of the outside world, but the inhabitants seem entirely oblivious of the worldwide epidemic.
---It's as if this place has been completely removed from the rest of the world.

After a while, Chester finds a conspicuous white forest in the middle of a green expanse.

"That forest devours people. That's what I believe."

The forest's name is Enigma.
The same as the disease consuming his body.

VNDB says also that the group behind this is targeting towards a female audience, but this VN is neither otome nor BL.

Release is either "Coming soon" (official website) or "This Winter" (steam).

 

All in all I would say it looks rather nice, and story so far sounds interesting enough. Depending on the price, I will give this a try.

Doesn't look special tbh. and it still a long wait till winter, so I will wait for the reviews and ratings for the game, if I don't forget this game exist by then....

So that's the mysterious fantasy title Conjueror was teasing about. But a 2015 title with 800 x 600 resolution? Are they living behind the moon?!

Decent production value but nothing special storywise, to be honest. Makes you wonder, why Fruitbat even picked it up in the first place and how's it possible Conjueror is working on it (or is he?).

High res art is expensive, and doujin circles work with very limited budgets.

The medieval English theme seems very interesting, It would be nice to see it attempt to emulate some of the folklore from that period.

I'm actually pretty hyped for this, I hope it doesn't take too long to come out.
