Falconer, Cassandra Winter, is on her first solo mission. Can she save the people of Moonlight from their plight? Or will she disappear into the mist like so many others before her? .: THE FALCONERS :. The Falconers is an IP that mixes historical fact with supernatural thriller and fantasy fiction. Narcosis Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 I just finished the preview and what can I say? It punched me in the guts, like really hard. Good scene direction and great usage of the engine's ATL language, coupled with great art and proper use of music makes for a preety alluring experience. I was preety surprised you almost instantly sacrificed one of the characters, that I thought will play an important role (or perhaps, she will - but it's way too early to tell yet, am I right? ) for the story's sake, but it worked - that I can tell you. Any tears that might be shed, are going to be justified. There's not much I can tell in terms of issues. The only thing that picked my attention was the overall look of the GUI and Menus, which - as simplistic as they are - kind of look way too much standard for Ren'Py's built-in modern templates. It's not bad, but I'd advise to either rework it a bit, or perhaps remove that black haze within the text window and replace it with a proper background, or remove the text window and make the letters more visible instead (by applying effects, which would make them more readable against the background art). That aside, you might consider increasing the resolution of character art (if still possible), because they were quite blurry during certain ATL transitions, especially those that relied on zoom-ins. I also noticed the lineart used for them reminds me too much of crude charcoal drawings; not sure if it's intended, but it doesn't quite seem to mix well with the backgrounds and smooth coloring used for the character art. It's nothing serious, albeit visible enough to consider a minor issue. As for the rest - thank you. I mean, really - I've been waiting for a western game, that introduces readers to it's own, unique IP. And I really love it - both the idea of Falconers (sounds like a more modern version of witchers), and the concept of Cullers. Can't wait for more, as this game has enough of content, that might actually pull in the more hardcore players. Spoiler PS. The fighting scene was awesome. Kudos for using ATL to partially animate everything on the screen, that's a lot of work. WHY on earth is no one commenting on this yet?! Quote

It's very much the main problem when you zoom in closer due to the texture of the line. Thanks for your comment! Quote
