For me... Only one. My younger sister. She loves guro/eroguro stuff so why the hell should I be ashamed of anything?

'My VN Tastes' is specific wording I'm not sure encompasses my case.

A lot of people know I like anime and VNs, but nobody actually knows what a VN is so, by extension, no one would really know what my tastes are.
Even if they did, 'mushy romance' just about covers it, so...

I put "your tastes" bc, like you, many of my friends knows that I like anime, but for half of my female friends anime = Naruto for whatever reason, so I don't think that counts...

And just my aforementioned sister knows that I read eroge or BL stuff, period.

But it's not like i've read Euphoria, so that doesn't count as "my taste". Since my taste is pretty much normal, i wouldn't call myself the shameless champion

Talked to my Math teacher one day 'bout Futanari, guro, hentai n' such and he laughed it off and we (and the other people in the class) played it off, he is a cool dude (even though he is a sneaky trucker) and my class is too.

My brother is the only who knows what kind of VNs I like I guess? Obviously he knows I like anime pr0n and jokingly judges me for that

Other than that, many people know I read VNs but dont know what exactly since I dont know how deep I can talk about the ones i like to people who just watch anime...

My gf knows more about it than she probably wanted to, but she even somewhat accepts my fixation on yuri and other weird stuff I show her from time to time. At least we're fully honest with each other.

I share my Steam account with my brother so he has full access to my VN library, embarrassing userpage and all the reviews I've written, but I don't think he ever cared enough to check these things out/read them.

My closest friend knows about it but he more or less hates everything anime so there's not much to talk about there. Also he's a bit of a homophobe so my liking for yuri weirds him out.

My mother knows I'm into "anime" becuase she saw it dozens of time on my computer, but she's clueless about the topic and I'm far too old for her to question my tastes.

Basically as I don't read VNs for porn I'm very transparent about my hobbies, I'm way past being embarrassed about watching/reading something after all those years of brony activity and using my fan knowledge for university projects. I don't really care if someone finds it weird - I know well enough myself that I'm a weirdo, if someone can't accept that it's their problem.

But in my case I discuss anime pr0n with my sister. We even make tops of which scenes were the best and such. That's what true friendship is all about!

I've loudly announced it whenever the question of what's my nerdy interest comes up. So there have been quite a few. My mom and my brother know of it. Along with most of my current friends.

 

It's gotten a lot easier to talk about because they are much more widely avaliable. I can just point to stiens gate or dokie dokie instead of let's say "Bleeding Dicks Of Lust: Necro Necro Vomit Fun Time" as an example of what a VN is.

Well, I've mentioned them to some people, but I usually leave out more juicy details, if you know what I mean. It's not like I read VNs for these details anyway.

As for the people who actually know what VNs are, then one person. Also, I think another person might've looked them up, we never discussed that. It's not like I care that much anyway.

Well, My younger borther treats me like a weaboo and he stays away whenever I play any dubbed VN (he hates how the japanese girls sound...I wonder if he's my real borther.)
I talked about VNs with some of my academy colleagues...but they like manga and anime as well (they're yaoists...-.-''). One of them also plays some of the free android's Otoge.
I've never said EXPLICITLY that the VNs I usually read contains some H scenes...well, who cares anyway?

I actually talk about my waifus with my closest friends, though.

With all the people sharing their taste of porn with their sisters I am kind of starting to wonder whether or not there is also incest going on. Didn't really think people would copy actions from the content they are watching/reading, but maybe I was wrong. Lots of incest eroge = lots of incest?

I don't have a sister myself so it probably is less weird to talk about porn with your sister than I think. Just kind of wanted to make this comment for fun since people were mentioning their sister.

My friends generally all know, but I'm not weird about it. Everyone I talk to about it generally understands that I'm genuinely in it for the story and atmosphere, and doesn't judge me about it (I guess the fact that I'm a bit of a literary snob helps). Occasionally I get made fun of, but never seriously. One of my old school friends played MonQuest on my recommendation too, so there's that. Mind, she had a really skewed sense of humor, so there wasn't much risk as far as my social status or disgusting her. I generally don't mention H scenes to people I don't know well, but again, my closest circles all know and don't really care anyway.

Most people I know IRL know about me reading VNs, and I talk to many of my friends about good VNs quite often, trying to make them read some as well.

Only a couple actually know that I read stuff like this, this and this, though. And uh, this. Generally don't talk about that one.

As far as I know, no one.  But a lot of that is because no one I know in real life knows about in my tastes in anything be it VNs, games, books, or even food.

Incidentally, I hate incest routes in VN. And yeah, it's way less weird than I  thought at first too

mmm... nobody?  I don't actively try to hide it, but there really isn't anyone around me interested in this kind of thing.

Edit: I have mentioned it to others in the past, but the only people in the area that actually know what I mean are the people I lend my physical copies to... about two-thirds of my collection is circulating through the metro area at any given time.

Edit2: If I didn't circulate them like that, they'd be taking up too much space... I also started lending out my rpg collections a few year back, to interested people.  Sometimes I don't get them back, but I always take a deposit on the rare ones so I can buy another copy.
