Flutterz Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 The Gateway was painted in 2014 as part of a series of works loosely devoted to architectonic volumes. Flutterz used rectangles of color to reinforce the shape of his essentially unvarying digital-painting format. Although The Gateway is subjectless, Flutterz insists that, even in abstraction, students should always work from nature in some form. With determination, a viewer can see that the complex spatial relationship established by the floating planes of color begins to resemble the gateway of the title. Oh, and 8/10 Quote
