LunaSopor Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I've been Final Fantasy Tactics: Advanced on my Android tablet using a free GBA emulator called "MyBoy!" It's been working out pretty well, and I love being able to admire the pixel art on a bigger screen than the GBA had. Quote
netravelr Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Finally gotten a chance to play Dangan Ronpa 2... that game is so amazing. However, it is such a time sink. I don't know what it is but I'll start playing... then I'll realize it's 5am. I don't like the characters as much as one, but it does have everything that I loved about the first one. Quote
CLuBLioN Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Just started playing Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor. Quote
Stray Cat Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Persona 4 Ultimax time. Â The made it a story tree so you don't have to replay the same thing (or hear it from a slightly different perspective) every single time. Â Thank you Atlus, thank you very much. Â Quote
LiquidShu Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 *Cough* Don't hurt me *Cough* played a bit of COD today... Quote
nohman Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Smash 4 just got done downloading, that's going to be my weekend I suspect. Quote
Stray Cat Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Smash 4 just got done downloading, that's going to be my weekend I suspect. Due to my incredibly packed upcoming week I think I'm going to have to hold off till next Friday.  Afterwards it will receive my undivided attention.  I have to say though I am quite fond of the story in P4U so far.  Adachi made all my hopes and dreams come true. Mr Poltroon Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 *Cough* Don't hurt me *Cough* played a bit of COD today... Fire ze missiles, blow the heretic to space! Â Also, which one did you play? I played all of them as they came out, but I stopped with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Quote
LiquidShu Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I was playing Black Ops 2, won't go near Ghosts that game was garbo. I am kinda looking forward to Advanced Warfare though. Quote
nohman Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 So Smash is fun. Sheik is looking like my main, just as she has been since Melee. Rosalina is a pretty interesting character though, but I've never really been good with puppet characters in fighting games. Quote
solidbatman Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 Bought Murasaki Baby, Child of Light, Valiant Hearts, some stupid Trials game, and Persona 4 Ultimax. I already regret Ultimax. Fuck Persona 4. I'm so god damn tired of that cast. And jesus christ the story is stupid. The first Arena was decent and still had that Persona 3/4 feel. This one is just so... cliche for the Persona 3/4 games. Power of bonds blah blah Teddie hits on girl blah blah persona blah shadows blah. I regret buying it. Â Quote
BookwormOtaku Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Seeing as it's October I've decided to get into the spirit of the month and play Dead Space 2. It's been decent so far; currently on the second chapter I think. Not quite sure how I feel about Isaac talking, though Quote

Mostly due to Adachi epicness. However, I'm also hoping that after this and Q they will finally lay the series to rest and move on.  How far are you? Quote

I lost my shit after the second fight because they last 20 seconds and are no challenge at all. If I wanted a VN, I'd read a fucking VN. I bought a game, not a VN. Quote

solidbatman Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 Don't forget the dancing game At least the gameplay will be... something. I'm actually excited for the dancing game not for the story, but because I enjoy music games.  Quote

I bought a game, not a VN. True, story mode is definitely no challenge at all. Even the first one seemed to be heavily story-based while not giving much priority to game-play.  I've heard that Golden mode can be quite challenging though, and there's also online play.  Don't forget the dancing game Oh yea, I forgot about that.  They just announced bonus Daisuke and Kou DLC.  Quote
nohman Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Played a lot of Sm4sh yesterday with some buddies and a little bit of DIsney Infinity 2.0 this morning. Really had a good time with smash. I originally was a bit hesitant over the controls, but you get used to it fairly quickly.   Started Batman: Arkham Asylum  I find the combat in that series crazy therapeutic, particularly in Arkham City. Kurisu-Chan Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 I started Sherlock Holmes : Crimes and Punishments. Quote
BookwormOtaku Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Reached chapter 5 of Dead Space 2 and while I'm still waiting for the story to move forward I am liking the level and enemy design. I admit those kid necromorphs (admittedly only slightly less annoying than real children) were a nasty surprise when they were introduced as I got swarmed to death twice before I realized I needed to use stasis on them before they got close and then start shooting. Nitpickwise while I have to say I don't like the chapter transitions; in the first game the chapters had titles and were a minor event in how they happened as you moved on to a new area with new objectives, enemies and story while in this game they can literally happen as you walk into a another room not too different from the last one. Funyarinpa Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 I've heard people praise System Shock 2 quite a bit; do I need to play the first game to enjoy it? Â No, not really. However, given that a pre-DOSBox-mounted and free version of the first game is provided on a forum, which even includes a mouselook mod, there's no reason to not play the first game first! (Yes, looking with the mouse had to be modded in) Â Get System Shock 1 from here: https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=211.0 Â On the same forums, you can also find graphical updates and such for the second game, as well as instructions on how to install them. Â I have my own Dropbox link for a DRM-free download of the second game as well: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kbgosk9wnhqmred/AABst8QuW5rTWwaMNRuIbDkja?dl=0 Quote
LiquidShu Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Playing Melody's Escape on steam. The game is really awesome if you like rhythm games. Worth the $10 for me since I love them, pretty chill.  http://www.melodysescape.com/ Quote
