Kenshin_sama Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 ...Still haven't finished the first dungeon. I suck at this.Actually, I suck at most N64 games ayyy.I've been playing Ocarina of Time for years. I started off playing the N64 version as a kid, and now I'm still trying to make progress for the 3DS remake.I WILL beat this game one day! Just need to stop getting stuck at puzzles and rage quitting. I'm very adamant about not using a guide for this. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Bought Rainbow Moon to try something new on my Vita, and then the Persona games go on sale. >_> (Was thinking of buying the first or the fourth) Quote
Heizei_koukousei Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 The first video game I have purchased in several years, TLoZ Skyward Sword. And despite what I have heard, it's really not bad. I really enjoyed how close Link and Zelda are at the beginning of the game, wanted to see them kiss right there on the Statue of the Goddess lol  Edit: Also have been playing quite a bit of School Idol Festival when I'm on the go Quote

Turnip Sensei Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Ar nosurge Plus: Ode to an Unborn Star  I read the Ciel nosurge summary out of curiosity (thanks Cyrille) and got hooked in to the Surge Concerto world. I really like the setting and the characters, and the power of emotional bonds and love in a little darker story is something I really enjoy.  I'm really liking Ar nosurge from what little I have played, the combat is fun and and especially the diving to other people's unconsciousness seems great. I lost myself when I read about Tsun Kingdom and Dere Empire fighting against each other and Tsun-to-Dere translation machine in one of the characters mind. Quote
Vokoca Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Just picked up SoulSac Delta since it was free on PS+, and I'm very impressed with the presentation so far. Only finished the first arc, but I'm loving those journal sections. And that OST, damn... Gameplay is also fun and fresh, even considering I never really got into the MH games/genre. The only other game I played a lot was Freedom Wars... I suppose those more unusual ones really grab me. Â Meanwhile on my PS4 I "accidentally" spent a whole day on Bloodborne again, since friend wanted to play coop and then never showed up in the end. Resulted in me spending my entire day in Chalice Dungeons to "get my character ready for coop"... hahaha... Though at least it was loads of fun. I also got really lucky with the Short Chalice again. Got summoned into the Isz root chalice, and not only did it have very easy first two bosses (Merciless Watchers and Brainsucker... what pushovers ), it also had loads of materials, but also a Lost Kirkhammer... and a Lost Holyblade... and a Blood Stone Rock... how is this even possible. The only times I tried root dungeons myself, I got absolute shit in return... Â I've also started playing around with Car Cry 4 since I got it on sale back in the Summer EU sale, and I'm enjoying that a lot so far too. Basically just more FC3, but I've enjoyed that a lot too, and it was a long time ago too, so this is nice. I just hope the plot continues being hilarious, some of those character encounters are gold. Joshua1207 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 I bought FFXIV about 5 days ago and have been playing that like mad. Already have 22~ hours logged in on it from steam and it'd def be over 30 if it counted my ps4 playtime of it. This game has been too addictive so far Quote
Eclipsed Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 I checked out Yandere Simulator after seeing Markimoo's Let's Play of it.  Ran around for about 5 minutes taking pictures of the 'senpai'  Then went on a killing spree b4 getting taken down by them OP teachers. Pretty nifty how the devs implemented going yandere mode with the protagonists' heart rate going sky high & bodily twitching and making use of audio & lighting getting dark and grim.  But yeah, with this type of shit I can totally understand the whole video games = violence stigma ppl have, but dw about me I'll be fine  Warning: Bloody       Quote

But this whole idea seems so...right  And as dev says its only about 5% done. So im reeeealy looking forward to it...its like the Hitman have gone to school....to be noticed by Senpai...and all those evil btchs are in the way....gogo Yandere-chan! Quote
Funyarinpa Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Hooked on Soul Sacrifice, Rainbow Moon and Wipeout 2048's demo on my Vita, this console is fucking underrated. Â Stuck in Portal Stories: Mel. Â Playing Alien: Isolation at nights, amazing experience. Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Ar nosurge is way too much fun. I've spent most of my time doing crafting, purification rituals and genometrics.  I love how you get a dialog/gag every time after crafting a new item, it makes crafting useless equipment fun. The chats during purification are really enjoyable as well. Overall I really like the character interaction in Ar nosurge.  But the Genometrics are the most fun of part of the game. It's like Persona Social Links in drugs and little more over the top than that. I didn't think that diving to someone's unconsciousness would be so ridiculously fun. I mean... Just woah...  Quote
Kosakyun Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Agh. More games to play. Thanks, Turnip. You just increased the never-ending backlog of games I have. Quote
Deep Blue Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 playing valkyria chronicles, so far it's really good. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Apparently Spec Ops' story was far more convoluted than I comprehended initially (and it's been months since I finished it). Â Spirits Of Xanadu is kind of interesting, but the combat is shit. Â Alien: Isolation is tough. Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 What you talking? Spec ops is just about some super american soldiers who save the world and fuck bitches! Â Quote
SilverLi Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I decided to sign up on the open beta of World of Warships. This game had a pretty excellent soontm tag. It literally took them forever to this stage. Quote
TexasDice Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Spec Ops the Line is great. I'd especially recommed it to someone who either hates modern day shooters or is completely sick of them. Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 COD is just yet another pro-american war game. Â Spec ops, on the other hand... Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Well, yeah. It's not supposed to be thought provoking or even interesting, plot-wise, in the least. It's popular because of the multiplayer.  I compared Spec Ops to CoD because while you basically do the same thing in both games (kill a shit ton of people), one doesn't make you feel anything at all, and the other makes you feel like a terrible person over and over and over again. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Even after all you did, you can still go home, how lucky of you! Do you feel like a hero yet? Â The best thing about the game is that it doesn't let you know when you can make a choice. You don't just click, you have to find a way to do what you want to do, by your own skills. An example is during the torture scene: You have to clear out the whole area near the agent you are looking for without being seen if you want to keep the agent alive for a bit long. You can just walk away from Riggs when he gets pinned under a water tank. That sort of thing is fucking amazing. Quote
sub-zer0 Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 too much shadow warrior, switching to Dishonored DLC, knife of dunwall, gonna try to do this MGS way, though I would prefer if I can actually kill someone... the chaos system though.... Quote
