Funyarinpa Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Ended up pulling an all-nighter because of the incredibly long Net High demo. I still haven't finished it, but this is probably the most hilarious shit I've ever played. Humour so self-aware that even the glossary is pretty much there just to poke fun at itself, real internet services parodies everywhere, and internet trolling turned into a battle of life and death... truly a game of the generation! In a society split into weaboo losers and people with a life, do you have enough memes to battle your way to the top and become the king of Twiitter?! Drown in followers or remain the worthless trash you are! Jesus fuck I almost regret showing the game to you, I NEEEEEEEEEED IIIIIIIIIT Quote
Vokoca Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 This has to be picked up for localisation sooner or later, the companies would be dumb not to do so. We even got stuff like Akiba's Trip, Net High should just be a matter of time. Quote
Fred the Barber Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Funya, for Persona 4, I could easily be wrong, but I believe you can modify the difficulty in the configuration (at least to lower it), without any need for restarting. Quote

Xelestial Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I've been played a lot of Kingdom Hearts II.5 to unwind. Finally hit level 99 last night so I can do the Final Mix bosses Quote

You can do this after you complete the game once. Playing the first Uncharted. Remember how much i loved this game when it was first released, haven't really paid too much attention to this series since then but i'm getting back into it. monkeysrumble Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Got lazy and decided not to do platinums. Doing a genocide run on Undertale and I've been fighting the final boss for awhile now. I'll probably start playing Bravely Default after this.Playing the first Uncharted. Remember how much i loved this game when it was first released, haven't really paid too much attention to this series since then but i'm getting back into it. You've only played the first game? It's a pretty good series and the sequels are way better then the first one. If you liked the first then you're in for a good treat. Quote

Funyarinpa Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 P4G is addictive (though the gameplay is "7/10" ) Margaret and Marie best girls (but haven't met Rise yet) Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 P4G is addictive (though the gameplay is "7/10" ) Margaret and Marie best girls (but haven't met Rise yet) Now that's some unusual tastes. Marie is consider to be the worst girl by many, although mostly by old Persona 4 fans who are upset that Golden is Vita exclusive and Marie being extra character that doesn't exist in the original. I personally really liked Marie, and Margaret is just awesome like all the Velvet room residents. Well, all the girls in P4 are pretty great, you can't really go wrong with any of them. Quote

Yeah for me Marie is amazing, i dunno why some people hate her. Rise,Yukiko and Marie always be my favourites. Not really fond of Naoto as love interest though, i prefer her just to be a bro . Quote

Sounds about right. The only P4 girls that weren't all that likeable were a couple of the ones that were just ordinary school social links. All the allies, and the unusual people like Margaret and Marie, were pretty cool and had their own vibe. Even the so-far-not-called-out Chie was better than most of the Persona 3 female leads... LiquidShu Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Has anyone played Deception IV The Nightmare Princess? It seems interesting and I'm in the mood for a JRPG/RPG action thingy. It's on sale btw only reason I am looking at it lol Quote
Suzu Fanatic Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Just finished Second Chapter (Trails in the Sky). Blarg, that empty feeling after beating a great game... ~_~ Here's hoping XSeed will be willing to pick up the 3rd, if for no other reason to end Estelle's story. But time will tell, considering the sales aren't exactly rolling in... =/ Quote
HotTrax Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Replay: MGS: Revengance. The hypest fing game ever. Night and day compared to MGSV in terms of cutscenes. Also sold a Grisaia Wallpaper on Steam that will cover the cost of Lightning Returns when that hits on PC early next month. $15.00 for a wallpaper, god damn. Quote

It's on sale btw only reason I am looking at it lolI've only played the Normal Deception IV, and liked. It's really satisfying to set up trap combos, theory craft new ones and watching the poor soldiers suffer in goofy ways. Some bosses can be annoying since they have tendency to avoid your traps and require really specific set-ups. Sometimes this works really well, sometimes it devolves in to repeating same gimmick over and over, and whittling the boss down. The Nightmare Princess adds tons of new traps and locations to spice up the gameplay, but more importantly the new character can attack enemies by kicking them into traps. In normal Deception IV you can only run away from enemies and luring them into your traps which felt sometimes kind of passive, but the kicking fixes that a little.Overall, it's pretty fun Action Puzzle game. Using stationary traps as your sole means of offense is pretty unique and strangely addicting. LiquidShu 1 Quote
sub-zer0 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I just started playing way of the samurai 4, It looked like a pretty decent rpg with some freedom and some roaming, and I have to say the game has some pretty hilarious dialogues, I'm only a bit into the game, but it seems like there are several factions to side with, and lots of endings based on your actions, I love it when you play an rpg and your choices has an impact on the outcome. There are somethings that I find disappoint though, like some doors that looks real nice but can't actually be opened, but then again almost all rpgs have unopenable doors, its a pretty small game( limited amount of maps), so there is limitations, there is not much character customization at all so I probably won't pay full price for it,but for a discount price, I would recommend it since its pretty fun GTA style roaming with swords and spears, though the map is obviously much smaller. Fun fact:if you start a NG+, your previous character can be seen roaming the city, and on the original PS3, you can invade other players cities or let them invade yours, kind of like the pvp system in dark souls. LiquidShu Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Bought Splatoon today, pre-owned. Going to give it a try for a week then decide if I want to keep it or not. My NNID should be LiquidShu, if you have it add me Also bought Onechanbara Z2 Chaos for PS4, haven't played much yet. Grinding away in Pokemon and playing a little KF2 on the side as well. Quote
Thunderbro Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Found a 60 fps fan-patch for Tales of Zesteria, so I've resumed my play-through of that game. I get occasional frame dips, but its been running at a constant 60fps for the most part. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 A Link Between Worlds is probably the best Zelda I've played in terms of gameplay. (Link's Awakening takes the cake when it comes to story, I would love a LA remake with ALBW graphics on 3DS.Gotta play Majora's Mask 3D sometime, seems to be the only Zelda game where story matters and is a dark story, too bad it's 40€) I'm having a lot of fun with it. LiquidShu Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Returning Splatoon, beat the single player and the multiplayer isn't enough to keep me around. Time to decide what to do with the $$$. Onechanbara Z2 Chaos is also a lot of fun. Quote

You and I see eye-to-eye on Zelda quite a bit, it seems. Though I know it was tongue-in-cheek, your earlier "it's a 7/10 series" comment matches my own opinions about the series in general. I've hardly played Zelda games since giving up on OOT years ago because I found it frustrating, but A Link Between Worlds is absolutely delightful (I truly believed the painting thing was just going to be gimmicky, but it is actually awesome), and Link's Awakening holds a special place in my nostalgic heart because of the story as much as the gameplay.
