Ririvee Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 Recently I've been attempting to figure out how to patch Rejet games on PC. I learned how to access and edit the scripts using AnimED and everything was going well until it came to repacking the files back into their original .rpd format and replacing the game's scenario.rpd for the game to run again. I was using Bad Medicine as a test and whenever I attempted to run the game with the edited .rpd it would stay stuck on a black screen after getting past the MC naming screen. I know AnimED is partially abandoned at this point but otherwise it had worked well and I'm unsure if I'm just missing some extra step. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Quote
KuronekoRM Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 Hi! I have a tutorial on translating Rejet games I made ages ago, here's the link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/imsmxh2d5pn5z45/RejetTutorial.docx/file In some games you have to modify the font via the .exe (you'll know because there isn't any pf.dat), in which case you should follow this other tutorial: https://www.mediafire.com/file/pu5pktbc2wb53qt/RejetFontEXE.docx/file Hope it helps! Ah I got it working, thank you so much! Turns out I was actually opening the scenario file incorrectly too by using the same method you would with the pf.dat;; That explains extra why I was having difficulty with it whoops. But thank you once more for helping~ Quote
KuronekoRM Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 That's good to know! Feel free to ask if you need anything else. Good luck with the project, I'd be happy to know when/if you decide to start the translation project Quote
