Hoshimemo looks really pixelated on fullscreen?

Whenever I put Hoshimemo on fullscreen, the text, images, everything gets really pixelated. I guess that 1680x1050 is rather large but all of the other visual novels i've downloaded haven't had this effect. Is there a fix?

I'm pretty sure that Hoshimemo just doesn't support that resolution, you'll need to lower your resolution for fullscreen. The game was not made to be high res, since it is quite old.

You need to select the 3rd option in fullscreen settings:

What you want to select is Fullscreen (旧)

 

 

 

 

 

also 1680x1050 is 16:10 resolution while as hoshimemo is 4:3, I was playing on 5:4 which is pretty close to 4:3 (you can't really tell the difference by quickly looking at it) but for what you have I would recommend changing to 4:3 or 5:4 display settings on your monitor (it should be there and it will add black bars on side, somewhere in the button options on the actual screen)

Oh, and here I was playing in Windowed when I can just change my resolution for long playing sessions... I still won't do that (too lazy to do so xD)

 

Still what bothers me the most is still the Skip bug, I really hate going through the Common Route until the girl Route starts and not seeing anything new (besides the mysterious girl cutscenes), anyone has any fix for this or I'll need to complete this game with the skip option as-is T_T?

Just stop right at the end of common route

after the battle on the lookout Komomo joins Tenkuru, thats the last thing in common, stop there and go manually from there without skip

Well, at least I'll know when to stop, but isn't there any new cutscenes if you go for certain choices? I did see some new ones when pausing some Skip scenes.

Skip works in common route, only place where it is broken is the girl's route so once you get to the point I mentioned, just stop and go automatic.

You will still experience new scenes in common route, it will pause for those correctly.
