So, i've been lurking Fuwanovel for about a year now, downloading pretty much any VN that i thaught was interesting.

I'd just like to point out i really like the site, and im really glad i finally decided to join the forums.

 

Some info about myself - I'm 19 years old and from Slovenia. Up till spring 2012 was only interested in FPS/TPS, GTA Style games. Then it all changed.

 

So, how'd i start my *journey* into anime/VN's?

Well it all started when i've gotten interested into a music genre called *Nightcore*, i could spend days hearing playlists of great Nightcored songs on youtube. Now the thing 'bout those videos was that they always had an Anime picture that sortof fit the sing. But at that time i've only used the pictures as my desktop background. Then after a while i've decided to use one of the pictures as my Steam avatar, and back then i had lots of friends there.

 

So, a few days after i've changed my avatar, one of my friends wrote:

*Hey, i notiche you've got Hatsune Miku as picture, shiit man i didnt know you like Vocaloid, Hit me up for a game soon*

As you can guess, that comment made me do some research and after watching a few videos i then fell in love with Vocaloid music. Soon after i've had a discussion with the friend, and he recommended me at some anime. Now this is important cause i stumbled upon Highschool of the Dead then (My favourite game being Left4Dead2 at that time). So out of curiousity i decided to watch it, and was quite impressed.

After that i went to watch Shakugan no Shana and then.. well i was really interested in Anime at that point.

Now jump forward about 2 months, i was randomly browsing Anime Opening videos, to find some that would interest me.

 

When i stumbled upon *My Girlfriend is The President* and *Hoshizora no Memoria*. Needless to say i wanted to try them, so i got 'em from Nyaa back then. After reading thru MGITSP i've allready been very impressed with it, and it left me wanting more. So, i went to read HoshiMemo and instantly fell in love with *Mare*,  and the whole story (all routes) had me full of various emotions, i've even cried at a few parts.

So that's pretty much how i've started with VN's.

 

Anyhow.  I've been self-learning Japanese for the last year now, and i've got a huge backlog of VN's and Anime, + about 250GB worth of Vocaloid albums+ Live Events.  The last VN i've finished was *ShiniKiss*, and it has actually surprised me, but i just loved the *Kohaku* route, and i'd love to have an imouto like *Shizuku* <3 .  Anyhow. As of the last coupla days i'm playing  http://vndb.org/v12602 and other past Whirlpool games, as i really like those.

 

So, that's 'bout it for my introduction i guess.  Hope to see ya guys on soon.

Miku suddenly went too hardcore

 

  Typically I prefer the Kawaii Miku songs, but I'm in the perfect mood to be enjoying this song, so I'm sharing the full spectrum of Miku Music with the world.

Wow I don't listen to that much Vocaloid stuff but that really opened my mind (I'm a huge metalhead first of all).  And I 100% agree with Komomo, even though I pretty much love all the characters.

 

Welcome to the forums Rias, hanging around here would pretty much either enlighten you, or corrupt you horribly, we'll find out soon enough.  

 

Can I take it since you are reading an untranslated Visual Novel that you can more or less understand Japanese?  Because that opens up a huge range of recommendations from a lot of us here.

 

I actually have not played Usotsuki Ouji to Nayameru Ohime-sama....noted.

Welcome to the forum, I wish I had more time reading VNs (well I'm compensating on vacations).

 

Good to see one more member (me included) reading newer VNs in Japanese, I took the freedom to look at your vndb.

hoshimemo, i almost forgot about it, i thought about reading it when i just entered fuwan but i always end up reading something else, i'll definitely try it after tsukihime.

I dunno about this. It's so big that, it'd almost feel wrong to not see this at the top of some page...

I was honestly never sure about My Girlfriend is the President. The whole synopsis of the story felt so strange, so I never got to reading it. How was that, anyway? Anything other than "you were impressed" by it?

Hm, i didnt like the start, but after 1:30 i've actually enjoyed it. + More Miku is always welcome ^^

Also on the topic of music, i Love collecting VN/Anime Soundtracks, got a huge iTunes library of those.

About that, i can pretty much understand what they are saying, get the idea on whats happening etc.

However im still having a bit of trouble with the *Non-Voiced* lines. Still using Translation Agregator to help me out with those.

But mainly so i can read it with Jparser/Mecab (not the translation, unless its a long line or i dont understand it)

 

-Also on the topic of my VNDB page, i dont really change it, unless i finish or lose interest in a VN.  I try to set myself 3-5 VN's to play in a month (ones marked as *Playing*), depending on my time/how long it is.

 

-As for my favourite VN's: HoshiMemo,Love 2 Quad,MaterialBrave(Still play MB when i feel like it),My Gilfriend is the President, ShiniKiss,and the whole SonoHanabira series that i've read so far.

 

-Side Note: I also really like all the characters in HoshiMemo, but Mare stands out for me.

I did not expect that at all. Great Job! And i do think you should post similar ones in other welcome threads. And like seventh mentioned while i was writing, perhaps a bit smaller.

There are a ton of recommendations that might fit your tastes in the Visual Novel Discussion board, so feel free to look through it, unless you want me to recommend you something untranslated.  Anyway, welcome to Fuwa.
