Asaka66 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I'm having problems with the Fuwanovel site. I can't open anything, no link is working. I tried a few things and it seems that when the snowflakes load the site stops responding ( it's seems like the snowflakes are above everything else and I can't click anything). I have already tried with other browsers but the problem remains. I don't know what to do, it could be some problem on my side. What should I do? Quote
Zakamutt Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Temporary lame workaround that might work: get the noscript add-on for firefox (actually I think there is a chrome version as well) and disable fuwanovel.net in scripts. It will block some stuff from working, but you can still browse the visual novels and stuff. There's actually a specific script running to create the snow, so there might be a better way to do this. I don't know, though. Quote
Asaka66 Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 I work with Opera browser. Quick Preferences (F12) -> disable Java script and everything is fine. So it's a problem with Fuwanovel? Quote
Nosebleed Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 It's working perfectly fine for me, no clue as what to do in your case though You're the second person that's had issues with fuwanovel related to the Opera browser, i blame Opera! Quote
Nayleen Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Not really constructive feedback, Nosebleed. The problem is pointer-events: none not working for non-SVG elements in some browsers (IE and Opera mainly), so I'll make another version or use a premade script to achieve the effect without a fullscreen canvas. Nayleen Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Refreshing once properly just in case scripts are still being cached (Ctrl + F5) should be enough to load the new version that should work cross-browser. Keeping this open in case more problems arise. solidbatman 1 Quote
Asaka66 Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 It's fine now. (Wow what a quick response. I'm amazed) Quote
Nayleen Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Well, not being able to use the site because of a full-screen canvas not supporting click-through in certain browsers is pretty high on the "U DUN GOOFED, FIX IMMEDIATELY" list, especially since IE was affected as well. ^^" Quote
