clockspin217 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I'm quite new to this forum, obviously, from my empty profile page (I'll fix that in a bit) and just wanted to say hi to everyone on here. I started reading VN's a month ago, so I've only actually read 5. Fate was my first, and my favorites so far have been G Senjou no Maou and Grisaia no Kajitsu. Just wondering if anyone could suggest something along the lines of those two? Quote
Izuru Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Maji De Watashi Koi Shinaisai Is A Good Vn , Little Busters If You Want Some Feels , And Also If My Heart Have Wings Good Story ^^ Quote
Kaguya Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Hey~ Well, check out my 50 VNs list. As for a specific suggestion.... Hm... Why not Symphonic Rain? Quote
krill Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 also if the more serious ones are your cup of tea as it seems id suggest crosschannel it was fantastic Quote

Then I would suggest Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo and it's sequel Sharin no Kuni, Yuukyuu no Shounenshoujo. It's made by the same developers as G Senjou no Maou. Other great and similar vn's if you have already read sharin or wanted something else: Cross Channel, Muv luv Alt (you will need to read Muv luv first though), Rewrite. Quote

I'm assuming Muv luv isn't too good, from the way you're saying that it's simply needed for the sequel... Otherwise, I think I'll start with Sharin no Kuni. Thanks! Quote

Otherwise, I think I'll start with Sharin no Kuni. Thanks! Muv luv is pretty much a simple Moege (aka, fluffy high school setting) so it's not that interesting. But after you complete 2-3 routes of Muv luv, you unlock muv luv extra. Which is the real good deal, story and such. Then you got the sequel to that, which is muv luv alt. Which is prbly one of the best vn's of all time. But there is no need to rush and play it. Have fun playing Sharin ^^ Quote
Flutterz Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Welcome to the forums! Enjoy your stay~ I'll recommend Clannad because nobody has recommended it yet. Quote
Nosebleed Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Welcome to the forums~ I recommend Hoshizora no Memoria just because Quote
Katatsumuri Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Welcome to the forums! And speaking of recommendations, Maybe you should try Katahane (if you don't mind yuri)? One part of it is serious, while the other part is pretty lighthearted. So It might fit in along with the VNs you provided as examples of your "reading history". clockspin217 1 Quote
shcboomer Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Welcome to the forums, maybe give Hoshimemo a read? Quote
Clephas Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Welcome. I can't provide any recommendations for you until you run out of translated games and are ready to take the plunge into the abyss. However, until then feel free to check out Kaguya's thread, lol. Quote
