The narrative unfolds over the course of a winter season, where each day brings new encounters and moments that draw the protagonist and Mai closer together, leading them to form a satisfying romance.

 

 

 

A quiet and introspective high school student, Kuno spends most of his days drifting through life, neither fully detached nor entirely present. After losing his parents, he learned to live independently, finding solace in routine. His world is dull, colorless—until he meets Mai Fujisaki.

 

Mai is a girl who seems almost unreal, as if she exists on the edges of the world rather than within it. She carries a quiet melancholy, a weight she never speaks about, yet it lingers in her every movement. Though highly intelligent and analytical, she can appear aloof.
