You get the choice to use EVERYONE. We've got over fifty battle bios, for every single character in the game. The only person you don't use or fight is Kayuu, because Kayuu just sucks at being important. Hell you can use Yue or Shaoren.

Let me guess she gets killed early in game. Again.

On a side note. Yue? Really? That cute little thing is going to be a general? What is she going to do?! Moe them into submission!?

That's not exactly true, Morgan. You can't use Miu or Nanano, as they never really join your force until Moeshouden. As for unusual leaders like Yue, it actually has the point. They're not fighting, they're commanding the troops. I'm guessing Yue can easily motivate her own soldiers. And there ARE some "moe them into submission" skills - Chou Sisters have them.

True. I forgot that as a general you don´t necessarily need to fight, you mostly need to be able to lead/motivate your troops. So on that point yes, Yue could be a good general. I withdraw my previous statment and bow before Akikojam.

Sonsaku, who is dead in the original game, is one of the central characters of her side.  She was my favorite, personally.  I have a weakness for borderline psychopaths, berserkers, and warrior-queens, lol.

Hmmm... from the backstory, I guess Pang Tong, but... I guess I'm not seeing much of him in her.

Then again, Shuri is a far cry from the cool-headed chessmaster who always has a plan, so fair enough.  Hmmm... I wonder how his plot arc will transition into the game? Does... what's-her-face, Ryubei have a relative to usurp in this version?  From what I've seen of the CGs, a decent number of the tragic, heartbreaking deaths are intact.

I... can't think of much to say about the Ma/Ba clan, save that I rather hope Sui isn't as completely reluctant to enjoy any sort of romance in this one.  It was a little much in the last one.

True, it was a bit overbearing how she was always so reluctant but i guess thats what made her Sui.

Whew, it's been awhile since I've said anything. Right now we're in a rut due to TL Checking problems, but we're not just gonna throw our hands in the air and give up. While some of the team has been TL Checking, we didn't have a true checker until Nightfall joined the project. It's currently halted editing, but this is a problem with a clear solution. No worries.

On a personal note, I've been suffering from burn out mixed with real life issues, hence my lack of involvement in anything project related lately. I've just been trying to recuperate and regain my mental bearings so I can work at 110% like I want to be doing. I do plan on becoming active once more though, since I want this project to succeed as badly as the rest of the team. I do apologize for my personal inactivity. Like I said, some of the team is just going through some things that take priority, even if we want this to be priority #1.

That's fine.  I doubt anyone here will give you any grief for briefly halting your unpaid volunteer work to get personal things done for yourself.  And I hope you manage to get better moving forward.  I've got no skills, all I can do is cheerlead.  Here I am, pom-pomming it.

Just a reminder, we need a TL Checker right now. We have one, but he's been inactive for a bit and we wanted multiple anyway. Right now we can not edit without a TL Checker. That means that there is no progress being made on the editing side until we have someone to TL Check on a regular basis.

If you can, or know anyone that can and would be willing, send me a message. For those who don't know, a TL Checker's job would essentially be to read over the translations and edit any mistranslations, inconsistencies, and any other miscellaneous things like that. Strong ability to read kanji is a must, solid grasp of English is a plus, but the editors will edit so don't feel to pressured.

Like I said, if you or anyone you know can help, message me. Thanks guys!

Because it's freaking huge. Now to be fair, if this game took an hour to beat, none of us would have been interested in localizing it...buuuuut, I own many console games shorter than Shin Koihime Musou.

Okay, I have got to ask because it has been bugging me for quite a while now. Does kazuto as in "we" have more of an impact on the story, on how it unfolds? Like for example, could we stop Shuran from becoming a cyclops?

Posted

Kind of. The story isn't exactly the same for any of the three factions, but certain things, like Shuuran getting shot in the eye, are always inevitable.

Also, it seems Koihime Musou 3 has been confirmed. Not Moeshouden, a true sequel.

Which we (The project team) were wondering about, whether or not KM3 will finally let you sleep with Kayuu!  Poor girl needs some lovin' too.

Wait a second!!!! Are we talking "sequel" as in a actual sequel or "sequel" as same thing only improved?  Also it´s sad that you can´t save Shuran I would love to see Kazuto just jump in front of the arrow.

Eiyuutan, we haven't thought too much on the Sengoku games. We're kinda interested, but doing a teen rated game doesn't sound as entertaining.
