I love reading slice-of-life/romance/drama, mostly feels and drama in general.

This visual novel is one of my top favorites so far.. and I've read a number of vns in general.

Since while the drama is very nice to read, the OSTs are also very memorable!

Sure why not. I played it and i like it. The endings were "meh" and kinda forced IMO.

I am the only one who wants a prequel? I am not a fan of prequels but in this case i think they left quite a story to tell.

Or i am stupid and i didn't catch the important stuff.

Hoshizora no Memoria was the best VN that I've read up to now. I recommend it to everyone. The story is really beautoiful and full of feelings, and every route is really special. So it's worth to download it! :)

Dude...spoilers.  Fo shame.

Actually, I hate when someone spoils important details of a game I intend to play for me, however I don't really consider the fact that

the protagonist's half sister (did I get that correctly? They have the same mother, just a different father?) is a heroine

a real spoiler, after all it's just one of the 7 story lines, isn't it? And if so, then I guess the possibility of chosing her route is pretty obvious from the beginning, or is it not and I actually just received a pretty big spoiler?

 The spoiler here is:

The fact that she's not a 'real' sister. We don't discover that until long into the game.

I had thought we knew that right from the begining, but apparently not.

So this is a really happy game right? I thought i'd try something different this time. I've only played Key VN's, Eden* (still recovering from this one) and G-sejnou so i thought i'd try something that is relaxing and not chock full of drama.

Mostly kittens and rainbows, but it does still hold a fair share of drama - for the sake of "dilemma"/balance. But it's nothing heavy like what you've read previously.

Milage may vary, but I felt good overall reading it.

It all depends on the nature of the drama i guess. Instead of me simply selecting something else to play, can you please explain in a as spoiler free fashion what type of drama is included here? Love triangles and such is the type of drama i hate the most, well man-female-man triangles. But i wouldn't call it kittens and rainbows if that was included :P

Routes:

Asuho - "I'm not good enough for you or anyone" drama.

Aoi - "Pity me, I'm a bitch the whole time" drama.

Komomo - Sibling + personal reflection drama.

Kosame - Same exact route as above.

Chinami - Family drama.

Mysterious Girl - Hospital drama.

Mare - What?

Well, that sounds like quite the handful. Are they as unlikable as that sounds? and how is the ending? as i said, i want to read something happy for once and not someting turns into nakige/utsuge in the "true ending" although i like nakige if it ends good, ohh or harem endings. Indecisive endings such as those are utter garbage and i'd ignore this game at once if it ends harem/slice of life style.

There is no harem, utsuge, triangles, bad ends or anything like that - it's just 'pure love'. Drama in most cases is just to give some dynamics or closure to the route.

Yea, some drama is quite terrible (for me Asuho and Isuzu), but other are ok or even good.

I would say though, that you can read this if having likable characters is enough for you. If you want also some engaging plot or interesting character development then look for something else.

All the endings in Hoshimemo are happy endings, it's just the means with which you get to those endings that are usually full of silly drama.

Some of the drama's decent though, and I still like Hoshimemo, but if you just want a happy go lucky story, I don't know if Hoshimemo is what you want lol.

Personally, I'd say Ren's list is fairly accurate, but perhaps tinged with a negative mindset. (though it's true that Aoi is a bitch :P)

Identity, self-confidence, insecurity, unrequited love. These are the stronger dramatic traits throughout the stories - to lesser/greater extents. But the cast is (subjectivly) likable and normally behave in down-to-earth fashions - they just trip and fall sometimes, like anyone.

I'll give this a try. thanks! I just hope the drama doesn't feel as forced as implied here seeing as that's bad storytelling.

As said, i don't really mind drama, i just mentioned earlier the type of drama i don't want to read right now :P

Hope this doesn't mean the protagonist keep desperately clinging to girls who aren't interested until he prevails in the end. That would be a pathetic read.

Anyway, as i said, this VN is worth a short at least.

I really liked Isuzu (why everyone insist on using her surname...). She is like a cute kitty that tries very hard to bite your fingers - you can't hate her for that! It's also not her fault, that her route is absolute garbage...
