Nosebleed Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 So I got introduced to this game a few weeks back and it's as annoying as it is addicting. I felt like sharing it with all of you and see if you get hooked like I did. It's a simple puzzle game but it can get pretty complicated. I haven't managed to beat it once yet. Can you? Here's the game for you to try it out http://chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0020/3158/live/2048.swf/480,570 Official original site: http://gabrielecirulli.github.io/2048/ (Couldn't use this one to embed because I couldn't get the swf url) There's also an Android and iOS version if you're interested. And if you think that version is not entertaining enough for you, this should do the trick http://doge2048.com/ Let's see who can get the best score Quote
Flutterz Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Up, left, up, left, up, left, up, right, up, left, up, left, up, left, up, right.... Apparently that's the best way to do it if you don't want to think. Another way I found myself is to make a keyboard macro that just goes up, right, down, left and loop it. I got to 1024 just by holding down that one key. Quote
Nosebleed Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 Highest I got was the tile 1024 which was really frustrating because one more and I'd have won but nope, had to lose there. I know people who got to tile 8000 something. (The game asks you if you want to continue once you get to 2048) Quote
Life Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I finished it. I ended up getting 4096 but afterwards I felt sad realising how many 2's I had to combine to get that far. Quote
Nosebleed Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 Best way i found to get far is to only use left right and up, never pull it down or it messes it up, that way you can keep the high tiles piling up in the same place and it's easier to combine them. It's not flawless though (there can be moments where you're forced to pull it down) but it's a great strategy and it builds up your score a lot. Quote
Kaguya Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 ...This was my first time playing it, and I feel disappoint. I'll eventually get good at this game. Quote
monkeysrumble Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Not too bad, I enjoy math puzzle games. I can usually only play these games for like 5 minutes tops before I get bored and take a break. Quote
Life Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Whoever wants to heres a slightly different more frustrating version of the game. http://jamesdonnelly.github.io/Isotopic256/ Quote
Nosebleed Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 Whoever wants to heres a slightly different more frustrating version of the game.http://jamesdonnelly.github.io/Isotopic256/... yeah no, not even. It's probably easier with keyboard than a touchscreen though (it's s little unresponsive for me) Quote
The Major Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I haven't tried it yet, but you can make one with custom tiles. http://games.usvsth3m.com/2048/ Quote
Zephryion Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Me, moments before 2048. Highscore was 31148 in the end. Quote
DimDito Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 http://games.usvsth3m.com/2048/ DIY: Make them all the same number so you'll be playing solely from your sense of color. Quote
Chocolat Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 My highest score is 2756, I'm kinda happy to have defeated it! Quote
Tenkuru Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Ahh I'm so bad at this game ~.~ On a side note, though it's not exactly similar, 2Fuse is also a great game. Quote
