what do you think about "NTR" on vn?

so i just stumbled on a surprise ntr scene from a certain game from nitroplus.needless to say i have a mixed feeling about that,since i didn't expect the game will contain ntr element and the scene itself feels a bit weird.(it wasn't a rape scene btw)

 

since most ntr belong to nukige and i dont really play that type,this is a new experience to me and i feel like to experience it again.so if anyone can recommend me any "story"based vn that have ntr element that would be much appreciated 

 

so,would you  play vn with ntr element?or maybe you could just imagine vn like majikoi or dracu-riot have a scene when the heroine cheated on you willingly  when you make the wrong choice,will you like it?will you watch the scene?discuss

 

 

btw for those who curious the vn i mean is

I'm not into NTR at all. It's just one of those things that leave a bad taste in my mouth, along with bittersweet endings. But that doesn't mean that NTR is bad. I actually think that if it is done right, it can be a decent part of the plot, adding drama and a despair element, things like that. It's just not something that I would personally enjoy.

It's not really my cup of tea fetish wise, but I can respect that it can be cathartic or sexy for some people. I don't mind it being present in a VN as long as it serves some purpose or development.

Dislike it immensely. Like someone said, maybe if it was done well it could add to the drama/plot whatever. Most NTRs I've seen by Anime and VNs have been contrived BS to elicit a fetish.

Well, I'm into anything besides scat or guro. NTR can be very nice sometimes. I generally find NTR scenes quite funny, it's always nice to see the face of the protagonist while it happens.

I don't know of many good, story-based VNs with netorare, though. As I love tragedies the most, seeing a previously strong-willed protagonist become an incomprehensible crying mess after a well-written netorare scene is awesome~

I'm not a fan of it, it leaves too much heartache since I have an attachment to the characters and it's kind of hard to watch something like that. Sometimes the despair can be good since it can prove a point in the plot and it does leave a powerful impact on the reader. I'm kind of weird that I don't mind someone doing something I don't like in a story just to prove a point.

I would guess that like most things, it could be interesting if well-written. I grew up watching American soap operas with my mother where that kind of stuff happens all the time, though obviously not from a first-person perspective.

Regarding NTR itself, it's an incredibly weird experience. It feels so bad and so wrong when it happens. Kinda makes me angry, sick and I'll feel betrayed and hate everthing (especially if it's with consent).

Netorare (寝取られ), also referred to as NTR or cuckold, is a genre where the intent is to cause an emotion of deep jealousy or distress in the reader. A direct translation of the word results in the definition "having your lover taken from you" or "to have something taken from you while you sleep". This is often accomplished by having main protagonist's loved one seduced away from them, with or without their knowledge.

I'm a bit fond of well-executed NTR.  The most readily available example of NTR is certain paths in School Days involving Makoto's friend and either Kotonoha or Sekai.  I found the scene with Kotonoha in particular to be surprisingly erotic, so I sought out more of the genre.

Well-executed NTR usually involves a protagonist that is weak, ambivalent, and lacking self-esteem.  It generates a dark foreboding atmosphere, with an escalating sense of dread similar to watching a trainwreck in progress.  It's quite different than your typical VN.

It only counts if they are already in a relationship. If the protagonist already has a girlfriend but then is seduced it's NTR, if there's someone who loves him but they're not on a relationship, it's not.

I can't stand NTR. I try to avoid it at all costs.

The only exception would be, like it was mentioned before, if it plays an actual important role in the plot, assuming the plot is dark.

But in this case I won't enjoy it as a fetish, i'll enjoy it as part of the story.

 

Whenever I get surprise NTR in something I wasn't expecting i usually despise that work for the rest of my life.

Kind of like when i'm reading some doujin with a cute girl and i'm getting interested and then only 15 pages in I find out it's a trap and I cry in a corner.
