Evangelion: Iron Maiden, AKA: Girlfriend of steel.

Hello, I recently discovered this site. I decided to give a few VNs a try. I ended up trying out Girlfriend of Steel first. I thought it was just a soundless novel at first until I noticed the long pauses without sound. The sound files are all there in the directory which I used for the install. I played a few and they were all different bits of the story... mostly voice... So I guess it might be a reference problem somewhere? I have my system locale set to Japan. I tried running the app as admin and in compatibility mode... The install option I used was full. :\ looks like I am not the only one with this problem. Thanks for your time.

If I recall there was an issue, either with the english patch or the game installer itself. It basically made the game search for the sound files in the innapropriate locations. I'd advise to install the game into the default location and use the 100% installation; I'd also advise to run the game in either XP or W95-98 compatibility mode. There used to be a workaround for the sound issue, unfortunately it's been so long I don't remember it anymore.
