maki~chan Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I hate you guys After i saw this topic here a few weeks i thought i should try this game... and now?! Since yesterday i'm addicted and thats all your fault ... Except my time at work... i spend my whole time today with that... it's so pitiful Greetz Edit: My ID 412525342 Welcome to no-sleep for cute cards world... Really welcome heheh Quote
Ceris Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I used only 6 now im ranked as 5xx no need to spend 18 at least for now :/ I wanna spend 1 gem each day and maybe 2-3 on last day depending on people That's good to hear, the 500-600 range isn't super close to the range I'm in, the 200-300, which took 10 love gems to get. Oh, and I did my 4th and 5th attempt of Expert Natsuiro Egao 1, 2, Jump just now. Attempt one was a disaster, I got like 9 goods, 3 bads, and 2 misses. 2nd run I got 3 goods and 1 miss. I can't do that part before the chorus And being sleep deprived is normal for me, on average I spend every day with 5-6 hours of sleep. Now that I have 61 LP, I can get that average amount of sleep every night Quote

Narcosis Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Imagine if this game didn't require LP to play all day.It wouldn't make any sense; think of LP as girls' stamina. If people would be able to play 24/7, LL:SIF would require some heavy rebalancing and design changes. Without it, the most active players would quickly max out their teams and KLab wouldn't get any revenue, either. LP exist to balance the game and give it a meaning, since there's no fun finishing everything within a few days - most people would get bored after that and possibly even drop the game completely. I have never really followed monstergirl art or games, but I love the idea of an artbook, especially for Love Live. As for suggestions, you're basically looking for monsters that the a said girl form Love Live would work well as? Something like Catgirl Rin, maybe? (Upon further thread inspection, it is clear that you are looking for more traditional monsters/mythical creatures).Actually, I'm not going for the serious looks, nor entirely traditional settings. I want to follow current trends, therefore I'm not aiming for them to be, or look purely mythological. I know monstergirls is a rather broad term, but for me it's mostly about blending girls with various interesting creatures; some of them might be mythological, others not. Let's not forget about moe, either. Therefore, I'd say that catgirl Rin wouldn't be that much of a monstergirl, since it's too vague (unless you're talking about nekomata or something similiar), but making Kotori a sheepgirl (female satyr?) - along with fur, animal legs and horns - would be something I'm aiming for. To be honest, I nearly forgot about this and so far it seems like the best choice x3 Also, that idea for centaur Umi is amazing. Utterly amazing. It's one of potential ideas. I kind of like it the most, but jorōgumo Umi sounds quite appealing as well. edit: this might be a little unknown as a monster, but what about the Russian Gamayun for Kotori? Or Perhaps the Sirin? I was looking for something relating to birds that would fit Kotori. If you read about the Sirin, they are directly based off of the Greek Sirens, known for their beautiful singing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamayunhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SirinPerhaps a mermaid would be fitting of Nozomi? It's kind of tragic that KLab has already released mermaid versions, so that might be a bit overdone at this point. What about a Dryad for Hanayo? I have always like the way Dryads hold themselves in the lore I read (if memory serves), and it's kind of quite fitting for her.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DryadThe wikipedia page talks about how they are often overshadowed by greater deities in Greek Lore, and are very shy and beautiful. It'sextremely fitting of Hanayo, especially considering the quietness of Dryads (Hanayo being the member of u's who had the most trouble joining and bringing her voice to the front because of shyness). They also have a distinct Pureness about them. Alternatively, you could do a Naiad, which is a water Nymph, which could be fitting of KoizumiI find birdlike creatures a bit too much, especially in case of minimal anthropomorphism - it would look funny to say the least, other than that it's rather hard to meaningfully combine birdlike features with humanoid bodies. I thought about mermaids already. It's one of the possibilities, tho I can't imagine Nozomi in that form. While half human - half fish concepts remain completely traditional, I was thinking more of amphibian creatures in general - very long tails, interdigital webbing, external gills etc. Not sure, if I could somehow bind it with one of the girls, but I haven't covered them all yet. I'm really hyped for this as well. Drayds are mythological creatures, which are often linked to various plantlike creatures in general; I think alraune would be more interesting, tho I'm not sure yet which girl besides Kotori could fit that idea. Perhaps Hanayo? The only problem is that she likes to eat a lot and has a preety voluptuous body; I wanted to make use of these traits.Nozomi's breast rubs are a classic Quote

xisashi_e Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I wouldn't go for top 1000 in my first event when starting during the event, too hard with so little LP. I like trying now, since a full recharge let's me play 2 25LP songs and Snow Halation on hard. coz i start my acc in jpn, i'm just keep my points to last 2 days for play event song since my team weak when just start, i failed about 100LP for challange those expert songs XD and about 200LP coz going out didnt play SIF outside. I calculate wrongly a bit on rank2 to rank12, after tat, i just realized manage to using all LP as possible before lv up would be an advantage. from 21th to current, i get 2374 event pts collected and 1905pts for more event songs. If i know how to manage as ealier as possible, and also use all LP well, i will be at least 2700pts event pts and 2230 pts for event songs. If i play all hard and average get S score no combo S rank, i should be 13039 pts or 12690 pts for playing average B rank combo normal S score. Its need a bit luck to gather all right atttrib to get urself full R team for S rank score hard mode before 1~2days event end, or u easily done with s score and get b rank combo at least before event ends. These calculated using 4 and half days event and not include after lv up LP from all event songs plays yet . If event last for 10 days, u can calculate how much event points u had at last. Anyway, its only applied when some knowledge and calculation needed for a newbie before starting to plays and only for player who start play when event start. Quote
Ceris Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Uhhh the one time I hit the part before the chorus in 1, 2, Jump, I sucked the rest of the song (Did get my first A combo though) coz i start my acc in jpn, i'm just keep my points to last 2 days for play event song since my team weak when just start, i failed about 100LP for challange those expert songs XD and about 200LP coz going out didnt play SIF outside. I highly disagree. You aren't the much younger than me to be unfamiliar with gaming models in the past. You forget that online games used to be monthly pay, and before that, online games were mostly free. There were no in game purchases and as long as you paid your monthly you could play for unlimited amounts of time. Video games didn't get boring because people were allowed to play extended amounts of time. I remember trying to achieve grand marshal in WoW for months, by grinding the same CTF map probably 16-18 hours a day, and trying to beat my friends' Tony Hawk Pro Skater record for years. There's another reason at play for LP and and in game purchases. In fact, I'd argue that the frustration of having to wait in between plays has got me less enthusiastic about it because in order to compete in any decent way, I'd always have to be sure I'm on top of my LP guage when it fills. And I don't want to think about it when I turn it off. Anyway, my point was a hyperbole towards Ezeefreak's addiction and not meant for deep in game mechanic analysis . Quote
Nosebleed Posted July 25, 2014 Author Posted July 25, 2014 And just as I made that last post, here's a present for arakura May you enjoy standing below me again Quote
phoenixfyre2552 Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Oh. Looks like we have a new player with us. Yeah, I remember that a few ten posts back (was it?) someone actually uninstalled this game because of how addictive it was . This game can make you be so addicted that you even plan your day as much as you can to not waste lp (points at self).... But it's fun, and a nice relief from doing whatever it is you need to do in real life (don't know about you guys). At least the way the Lp gaining system is planned gives 5 hours for rest ( for those who gain 50 lp already and potentially more hours to rest). I remember seeing that nozomi card in decaf kouhi. That is soooo fitting for her... crunchytaco 1 Quote

If no enough storng team and weak skill, juz stick on normal mode, its easily get s rank/a rank combo with s rank score, this wat i done in eng kotori event due to my sucks skill, more effiecient than push urself to play hard mode and get lesser points with worse result. I don't know how badly that sucks or not since I haven't played one in a long time but they seemed to still be insanely popular. I personally feel like I'm playing guitar hero back in the days again when I'm playing this. In order for SIF to work without LP, it would need more songs though. LP gives them leeway to release songs very slowly since there's only 1 group of artists lol. Quote
Ceris Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 The microtransaction model is superior than monthly subscription in this type of game IMO. I'm having trouble getting my words into thoughts though. The way the game events run and stuff, you'd have to change vast amounts of the game to match unlimited playing. If you want to compare to Guitar Hero, GH was a game of repetition until perfection, this game doesn't focus on that, but instead on number of plays over time. Quote

And I don't want to think about it when I turn it off. MMO'S were never free in the past. If anything, they were B2P and you had to pay a monthly fee as well; F2P is a modern trend, coined in early 2000's. To be honest, LL:SIF is only fun because we're not able to play it all the time; if we'd be able to, we would throw our smartphones and tablets away into the corner after a week or two. That's how most mobile games work nowadays. Don't forget that LP's main purpose of existence is to actually provide an impassable wall, which requires p2w methods in order to be negated; Klab devs also have to make a living and pay licensing fees. Competition? Don't make me laugh, as there's no such thing in LL:SIF; it's just an online scoreboard, that doesn't say anything about the skills of players. Don't even make me start an offtopic about mmorpg's, otherwise I'll preety much bust any myth you'll throw at me. It's enough I've spent the last two years trying to tell people how horrible TERA's business model was. The rest is a matter of personal preferences. And I'd rather leave it at that. What matters is that LL:SIF is fun, nevertheless of P2W aspects. Quote
Yeokso Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I can definitely see crunchy's point in this. I personally would also prefer a system that doesn't involve microtransactions and instead focuses entirely on the player's skill level. Like DJ Max, Guitar Hero, Stepmania, DDR, Beatmania and so on, except it's online. No need to worry about spending a dime and you can have fun enjoying the game both casually and competitively. But ~ They gotta earn money somehow, and unless they're charging the whole game at a base price (which doesn't really work on a game that consistently receives updates), I don't see how spending money on cosmetics or other stuff that doesn't involve making you getting a better score would work on LLSIF - decorating cards isn't a thing (yet). Or am I underestimating what people will spend on regardless of its usefulness. crunchytaco 1 Quote

They weren't even the focus of my discussion. But go and continue ranting your knowledge on MMORPGs, since this seems like about proving your ego than a point . Don't twist my words though to fit your argument (Kids are always boiling to be right.) I was going to say I didn't want to take this OT anymore anyway and let you guys continue your SIF talk. Quote
