Kaguya Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Oh, so they're actually pulling the victim card in Zankyou. Probably. They're willing to act like that to stop the bomb they planted from going off, so they're definitely not "bad guys". Quote
Nosebleed Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 I think the bomb not going off had a purpose, maybe the bomb itself had a clue in it and they made the riddle easy for that purpose. And then stuff didn't go according to plan and they tried defusing it. Just speculating of course. I'm afraid the girl they brought in may or may not ruin the show, so far she's not the best character ever.. Regardless the tension created was nice, it's good to see they're not unstoppable and are facing difficulties along the way. Tokyo Ghoul, ahh those sweet censors destroying all the impact, how i love them. Very very cliche development with the girl and her mom, can't say i was too impressed. But still some feels linger. Touka and her Kagune are awesome though. And then do end the day off an episode of Locodol is pretty nice, i swear i give this show way too much credit for how simple it is, but i truly enjoy watching it. The Nanyako joke is still going strong. Quote
Freestyle80 Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I'm liking Tokyo ghoul actually, just hope the protag grows stronger or sth soon and that there's some actual character development(kind of like Keneji) Quote

I wish they'd stick to one method of censorship too, they use like 3 different ones in 5 minutes. It doesn't sit well with me at all.  What I said was cliche was the: Daughter misses dad > mother comforts daughter telling her they'll meet again > footage of dad being killed right after for greater emotional impact This process is one of the biggest cliches ever and not just in anime. Although I won't lie and say it doesn't work, it does make you feel quite bad for them and sympathize with them, but it's still a really repetitive  cliche, that's why i wasn't too impressed by how things played out just yet. I have no doubts it can turn into something big though, cliches are everywhere after all, it's all a matter of how you use them, let's see how things go. Quote

crunchytaco Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Rail Wars Episode 6 Â Haruka was a cuddly cutie in this episode There's funny and sexy too (All kinds of pleasures going on in my mind right now) Â Rail Wars is getting really good. I'm getting that Nisekoi feeling again where you can't decide which girl to root for 'coz you want 'em all to be with the MC. Quote

Kenshin_sama Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Damn it,why i am always late That's okay. I heard about it quite a while ago too, but it was still nice for you to bring it back up since it made me feel hypey again. Not as much as my initial reaction, but still... Dulalala S2 hype!!! Â Kinda worried about Ao Haru Ride's direction with the last episode. Hoping it doesn't play out the way I think it will. Didn't enjoy it that much due to my general uneasiness, but it still has a chance to clear that up since it hasn't done anything particularly wrong yet. Fairly spoilerish: Seriously though, I hate love triangles in shoujos. I don't mind it as much in anything else, but I've yet to see a shoujo anime pull it off in a way that doesn't frustrate me. At the very least, however, the type of friendship Futaba and Makita have could keep this from being an aggravation. Quote

LiquidShu Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Zankyou no Terror is the bomb, teehee. I have a feeling I would have liked it more if they didn't add "Five". I liked the whole shibazaki x sphinx thing but a third party kinda interrupts the whole vibe, will have to wait and see though ~Â Quote

I liked the whole shibazaki x sphinx thing but a third party kinda interrupts the whole vibe, will have to wait and see though ~ What a Coincidence i had the exact same feeling. I was really interested in the antihero part of the show they had going on, but introducing five just ruined the mood. So i just watched episode 6 of sao and was wondering where that whole Laughing coffin raid comes into the whole timeline of the franchise? Or is this yet another thing that gets brought up because it advances the plot without actually tying into previous things? Quote
Stray Cat Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Akame ga Kill episode 6...wow...just wow. Â I think this is my new favorite this season. Â I didn't even like Shelle but that death was still rough. Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 As always, Kirito-Chan is Overpowered. Â Â Oh lol, now i feel regret for killing 3 MURDERERS in SAO, 3 years after, when i killed them, i didn't felt any regret, but now that i encountered a laughin coffin survivor, i feel regret, this is absolutely not a cliche plot development!! Â But, now, the season 2 is interesting. Quote

No the LC guy actually was shown in the SAO arc, I could post a screenshot, his face wasn't shown anyway. Â Overall SAO is picking up some pace and showing some more interesting stuff which is great. I really like Sinon and can't wait to see her character develop. Â But seriously Kirito cheating on his girlfriend again.. *sigh* Quote
sanahtlig Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I have identified the superior shows this season. Â They are: Sword Art Online S2, Zankyou no Terror, Tokyo Ghoul Quote

They are: Sword Art Online S2, Zankyou no Terror, Tokyo Ghoul Don't go too fast : the first 3 eps of SAO 2 were awfully slow, Zankyou no Terror is good but lacks something, and the censorship contest on Tokyo Ghoul is crippling the experience.
