Nosebleed Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 So according to Nosebleed, the game being discussed is a demo? We are paying for demos now -_-? It says in the app store the scope of the gameplay is the same as the PC demo version. So yeah. Micro transactions in a demo. This world is going down a dark path. Quote
DrKleiner Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 C'mon guys, we all know 14 year old French girls like to continue off of where they previously left in this amazing all-ages visual novel. You know you don't want to wait for those random non-important characters to finish talking with their voices so why even include it when you can just read the broken English in your own voice and pace! suikashoujo, Steve, Nosebleed and 1 other 4 Quote
hsmsful Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 They either did it for the lulz or to prove the point : they are the most hilarious retards out there. Quote
Kimanor Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 I bet the required internet connection is so that you can't crack it. Dunno why they even care, though. I guess they're hoping that people either don't want to/don't know how to torrent/patch something, or are too addicted to using their phones to read it on their computer. And it's a demo to boot. I'm just surprised they didn't charge a flat fee to even get access to it. I did mention that. It requires an internet connection. Without one, all you can see is the op movie and a new V.O. saying "Get internet". Also I should mention this, but when looking at it, there doesn't seem to be a way to buy the "wings" to advance the text. Either wait 24 hours, or use tapjoy. Quote

hsmsful Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 ....So they're simply forcing you to wait for no reason whatsoever? No they are telling you that you should not get addicted to this for your own health Quote
Nosebleed Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 No they are telling you that you should not get addicted to this for your own health I'm sure it's in their best and utmost interest that all the 12 year olds don't get eye damage by reading too much. It's common knowledge you need a 24 hour break between every 50 lines of text. MoeNovel is so kind. Quote
Berilium Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 This is a clear example of why people resort to piratery >.> Quote

Well yeah it's common knowledge Especially that this will not be on a pc screen you know, meaning the text will be smaller so they have to ensure our health won't be damaged And you know for VN readers, eyes are the most important thing I don't really think there is any company who has been this kind to us Thank you MoeNovel :3 Quote
Kimanor Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 Using tapjoy requires you to complete surveys and offers, such as watching ads or buying products, which will in turn give you a small amount of the "wings". The money tapjoy receives for such offers is split between them and MoeNovel. Something like that. This is a clear example of why people resort to piratery >.> ^^ Quote

MoeNovel has been beyond salvation since day 1. Quote
Kimanor Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 ...I'm a bit behind, but what has MoeNovel done so far? Quote

Zodai Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 ...I'm a bit behind, but what has MoeNovel done so far? I'm hoping for information as well. Quote
Nosebleed Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 ...I'm a bit behind, but what has MoeNovel done so far? I could just say "too much" but I'll try to make a list for you: Removed H-content from their localization of Kono Ozora Removed all kinds of CGs that involved kissing as well Removed all sexual jokes (infamous example is when thay say "oppai" and the text says "eyes") Removed pretty much any kind of hint of romance from the story Translated the game with extremly degraded english that is incomprehensible sometimes. TL;DR: They ruined Kono Oozora Their excuse for all of this: It is to "reach a wider audience". Quote
hsmsful Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 In other words, they tried to make Kono Ozora playable by little kids? Quote
Nosebleed Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 In other words, they tried to make Kono Ozora playable by little kids? According to them, yes. Because i'm sure 12 year olds really want to read a visual novel about stuff they can't relate to (unless there's 12 year olds piloting gliders nowadays and I've just been living under a rock) sarayne and Silvz 2 Quote
Kimanor Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 I did hear about that somewhere, but I didn't know it was to such a great extent. Do these guys even want our money? Quote
Nosebleed Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Imagine if they took Saya no Uta =3. My heart stopped for a moment there. Quote
hsmsful Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 So that's what that H scenes restoration patch was about. I didn't know about that :v I did hear about that somewhere, but I didn't know it was to such a great extent. Do these guys even want our money? No they want our kids Imagine if they took Saya no Uta =3. That would actually be interesting Quote
Silvz Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Imagine if they took Saya no Uta =3. When we hit "Start", we get that ending song. See? Easy to project. Nway, I just love Nosebleed's posts Quote
