I like a bit of everything, it depends more on the individual song than the genre. A few random favs from different genres and languages:

Blue Stahli - Ultranumb

96Neko - Wave

Egypt Central - White Rabbit

Fairy Tail OP 9

Music nowadays has way too much unnecessary sexualization. "Nevermind how shitty the song is, lets shove some tits n' ass in the public's faces and rack up the view & popularity count. Sex sells after all!" /industry mindset.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Brazzers were handling today's mainstream music video production.

Their goal is money after all.

We can't blame them if that's what they want.

But it kinda defeats the point of music.

After all, you're meant to listen with your ears, not your eyes. A music video is good if it's not trying to be alternative wank material.

Yeah. I agree.

Some manage to earn money while being able to make good music.

Like c'mon man, right?

A lot of people don't believe me when I say that I listen to any genre of music.

lol, that's because people usually say that and then include a lot of caveats.

Like, "I listen to everything, except...

Country

Rap/Hip-hop

Anything before the 60s

Anything without lyrics

Anything with screaming in it."

and so on.  :P

But I never say that I actually listen anything I find with great voice, lyrics or music and it doesn't matter what genre it is.

Am I the only person here that likes jazz/contemporary?

I'm all over the board, but most of what I enjoy focuses around that kind of style.

Nope. It (Jazz) is my go to for night time driving listening.

I figured I couldn't be the only one.

Although they've only done a teeny tiny bit of jazz, MuteMath has to be my favorite artist.

A close second is Sigur Ros. I find their music ethereal and on a different level that any other modern artist I know of.

I have this awesome collection of touhou jazz covers that I love

Trailer music's great, my favorite would be the Cloud Atlas trailer. Never saw the movie, but the music they use is awesome.

I love movie soundtracks as well.

My tastes are pretty varied. Right now what I listen to most is probably various forms of light rock but I don't limit myself to that. I used to be a big time metalhead in my teens but right now I've pretty much moved on from metal, I guess? I still listen it every once in a while but it doesn't do nearly as much for me as it used to.

One thing I don't really listen to at all is foreign language music. I guess I just like understanding the lyrics, even when I'm not intently listening to them. If it's instrumental, then obviously it doesn't matter where it comes from.
