Kimanor Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 This is very important information to me. I need you to supply it. However, I must first tell you a story, a fairy tale of the two. A long, long time ago there lived an old man and an old woman on a mountain. The elderly couple went onto the fuwanovel forums and started posting things they would likely regret later on. However, as the day grew to an age such as themselves, they tried to go to the forum's "home" thing. HOWEVER- they made a fatal mistake! They clicked the "Fuwanovel button" rather than the "forums button"! And due to their extremely slow internet (I forgot to mention that), it took them forever to navigate back to the forums! Thus ends my story. This happens to me on a regular basis, so I'm curious, has anyone else done it? It's probably just me and the elderly couple in the story. Quote
Dimorphic Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I have a pretty fast rig with a i5 3570k @ 4.4Ghz, 8GB RAM and GTX 670 2GB, with fast internet service as well. So even if I did, it would literally take me a sec to go back, no problem. Quote

Dimorphic Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 ... (A GTX 670 with 2MB of ram? I pity you.) How so? Quote
Kimanor Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 How so? Err... The ram on a GPU is typically useful these days, particularity if you play even flash games or surf the web, and modern GPU's typically have at least 1GB of RAM, so to have that little... Is ur inet really that slow??? Dont be angry lol Trust me. When your rendering a video and your computer is going at nil speed because all your RAM is dedicated to your render... It's not pretty. I won't forgive you by the way. Take responsibility. Quote
Dimorphic Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Oh gawd, I finally found the error in my ways. Obviously I meant 2 GB :-) It's not like video cards with 2 mb even get produced these days, let alone the 600 series of Nvidia. Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Euh, with a GTX 670 you can run every game on Steam, Origin and Uplay(but if you have good tastes, you never uses Uplay to buy your ubisoft games) at maximum graphics, with, probably the exception of the ubersampling in the Witcher 2. Quote

Meh, the 670 is getting older. The top graphically demanding games such as Crysis 3, Far Cry 3 and Battlefield 4 can run on max with this card, but not with a constant 60 fps. Still does its job well though. You'd be surprised. After all, that's what is in my computer. I think. What do you have? Must be a very old card if it still has so little video memory. Quote

I reckon it has more than 2 MB memory (lol), but for gaming it's not ideal at all. The more recent ones (Intel HD 4000) are pretty decent for mid-high graphical games though. Quote

On board chips aren't meant for gaming to begin with, they're there mostly so you can see if your part(s) are working once assembled together. Without a gpu you wouldn't see a thing. Quote
arakura Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Happened to me for a while, but not too much recently. It's a pretty homepage, at least u.u Quote

Without a gpu you wouldn't see a thing. Obviously. It's just that they figured that since it's there, they might as well kill 2 birds with one stone and make it capable enough to handle a little more than just the most basic things. Sounds logical enough to me. Quote
Life Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 It happens to me a lot. In my mind, the fuwanovel button is a button to the front of the forums. It doesn't take too long to load though... most of the time. Quote
Zakamutt Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I find it useful when I want to browse fuwanovel.net instead of just the forums, and I never ever misclick it. Then again, I practically never view forum index anyway since I use view new posts instead. Quote
