grim_tales1 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Apologies for this, I wasnt sure what section to put this in. Ever since UTorrent updated itself to the latest version a while ago, and even before that, the language/text in the program (on my PC at least) changed from English to Japanese! Help.. I wonder if it did that because I changed the system locale or something? Quote
hussien-11 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I wonder if it did that because I changed the system locale or something? Sure lol, happened to me with VLC Quote
Narcosis Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 That's why being on japanese locale all the time as a western PC user isn't healthy for your system. Quote
grim_tales1 Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 My mistake I thought being on Japanese locale wouldnt really change much. Quote
Zhiroo Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I've been on Japanese Locale for a year and don't have any problems. Yes my Utorrent turned into Japanese but I don't mind/care since it still does the work. I haven't encountered any problems with anything else either. Quote
grim_tales1 Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 I've kind of got more used to it by using the quick buttons/looking at the icons It can make me puzzled though. Quote
Sparkker Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 You can just turn it back to English though... Quote
dale Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 You can just turn it back to English though... Or you can change your torrent client. I personally use Deluge. Before that it was tixati. Both are small and fast, tixati eats a lot of memory thou, especially on hi-speed links (over 100Mbps both ways). Quote
daoluong Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Alt+o -> Ctrl+P -> select first section at left side-> first thing at the right is language combo box grim_tales1 1 Quote
Blizzard884 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I am on Japanese locale for about 8 months now but didn't encounter any problems. (uuTorrent also didn't change language after upfates) Only think in Japanese is some installers. But I don't mind Quote
jeftai Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 do i need to make that picture again of how to change locale and still have english set up as main language? incase all fails Quote
grim_tales1 Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 Alt+o -> Ctrl+P -> select first section at left side-> first thing at the right is language combo box Thanks! I tried that and then restarted and it worked. My location/date format is still Japanese though but now uTorrent displays in English Quote
