I don't enjoy rape or NTR... but a well-timed heroine death can frequently have a great impact.  I prefer protag deaths though.

It's not that strange, really. Death, rape or other cruel things invoke strong feelings for the character just as much or possibly more than any "nice" scene ever could. The question is whether you can stomach it, I usually like rape victim heroines but don't really react to violent heroine deaths other than the rare "that was pretty cool".

 

If I'm not mistaken, that's kind of similar to how people like Netorare, though it certainly isn't my thing.

 

I am not arguing with that I am just saying would you really like to have people close to you that you care about be raped or killed just so they could invoke strong feelings in you. I can stomach anything but that doesn't mean I will like it.

 

I myself like "from bad to happy" endings, when first it seems that something bad happened but turns out to be okay in the end, but that is completely different as ending result is that character in question is even happier then he should be otherwise.

For me it is a big deal and there is pretty much noting worse for me then having sex just because of sex, it is not just a hobby it is a big part of a persons personality that I hate more then anything else.

 

I guess our "philosophy" on the meeter is just way to different for us to find a middle ground.

 

You don't see a big deal in it and like it, for me it is a big deal and I absolutely hate it we both like the rest of the VN.

 

Well that said I am in a middle of a Mayuki's route now and up till now Akihito isn't as bad as he was in Benio's route, I hope he stays that way till the rest of VN it could greatly improve a VN for me if he does, true from what people said in this thread I doubt it will be that way.

Of course not, no one would want such a thing to happen to them or their close ones IRL, that's what's different about fiction. It's like how people like ghost stories but wouldn't want to be in one.

Damn Kagome route just FUCKING AMAZING

I started Comyu this afternoon and I find it to be really good for the time being, it doesn't take much time to the story to begin and I really like the whole atmosphere and style, quite different from the usual VN. I'm also a huge fan of Kagome, a overpowered character with superiority complex and a good set of sarcastic lines, sounds good for what will come next.

It is odd, especially Ayaya (WHY?!). RuiTomo had obvious multiple-writer syndrome that ruined some routes, but to me Comyu never suffered from that, so I find it odd that some many people dislike the earlier routes so much compared to Kagome. Of course, Kagome is just pure awesome, so obviously everyone will like her route (totally unbiased evaluation, I assure you), but what is it that people feel is so different between what came earlier and Kagome?

Just finished Mayuki route, it was so Kawaii!!!

 

It had less action but more character development it had more satisfying ending then Benio Route it had a nice romance and Akihito was a lot better then he was in Benio and common routes.

 

If Akihito is more like this in the rest of the routes this VN might still end up in my Top 3 VNs.

My thoughts: Comyu is a pretty decent story game, albeit a dark one

 

Kagome's route was gold and Mayuki's is without a doubt the most cutesy/sugary.

 

The only thing I didn't like about this game is that sometimes it gets too long-winded (I lost count of how many times Akihito sees the red in just one route, much less the whole game) and also Benio's justice antics get really annoying as you play.

It has been a few months since I played this, but if I remember correctly:

 

In order from shortest to longest:

Ayaya, Mayuki, Benio=Hisoka, Kagome

 

The only route that rivals the length of the common route is Kagome's, with Benio and Hisoka's coming close slightly behind, the rest are short in comparison (especially Ayaya's).

Just finished Mayuki's route. Despite being lighter in tone than Benio's, I liked it a lot more. I think it's because it gets to the point way faster, but more than that, because I didn't have to deal with the MC's grimderp thoughts every 2 dialogue boxes in this one ("I'm thirsty, so I buy a soda from a nearby vending machine. I SEE TEH RED!!!1!1!") or Benio's stupidity.

I actually have a solution to the "seeing red" scenes and any of Akihito's that works fairly well at making them tolerable and also kind of enjoyable: Read the scenes in the Christian Bale Batman voice

Just finished Hisoka route,

 

Story was good, lot of good action, nice ending, there was some nice romance near the end, I liked Hisoka, lots of new interesting things have been reviled, and there was a lot of character development for Izawa.

 

Unfortunately Akihito was as bad as in Benio route nearly until the end, true at least he did become better near an end.

I just couldn't enjoy Benio's route at all. That last fight scene was nice, but then she has to go and ruin her own route like that. Such a pity.

It's like: "I know my way hasn't managed to solve anything at all and it's utterly futile, but I'll force it down your throat anyway since justice!".

 

Hell, I liked Ayaya's route over Benio's. Just because Ayaya's route at least made me laugh with the four heavenly kings and all those Mayuki-sensei lessons.

 

I liked Mayuki as a heroine over Hisoka, but I liked Hisoka's route over Mayuki's by a lot.

I never could enjoy Kagome as a heroine as well, but her route is pure gold indeed.

 

Well, taking all of the H-able females in the game, I'll say that my "favorite heroine" order was: Yoruko, Haru, Mayuki, Hisoka, Kagome, Ayaya, Touri, Rondo and Benio.
