Where am I?

Basically, I'd like to know where in the visual novel I am and how long until it ends.

I'm on Sakura's route, a lot of things happened, Archer died and I got his arm and have a cloth covering it. Ilya is living with me right now.

Does anyone know where I am and how long until I finish?

If you need more details I understand, I suppose I could give some.

What do you think?

I'd also like to hear your opinion on Sakura's route. I'm ok with spoilers, it's my fault for not having finished it yet, but It'd be nice if you marked them.

I, myself am having problems completing it because I can't handle it when bad stuff happens.. So I kinda stop for a few days everytime something goes wrong. (So I make progress of about 5 minutes per week)

Sakura's route is my favorite, and she's the only heroine I actually liked in the game. It's full of amazing fights and badassery as well.

You're kinda near the end. It'll get even more intense from now own, though. A few hours until the VN ends.

Oh, bloody hell...

Although I know the route is supposed really good, the protagonist just can't catch a break....

I'll have to set some free time to finish it all in one go.

Sakura's route is quite good and, as you may have noticed, it has this "dark" story the others don't which makes it even better for me. Rin's my favourite though.

Yeah, I'd say it's at least 8-10 more hours (if you read fast) until the end (I don't remember quite correctly).

Everyone has already said how close you are to the end. I found Heavens Feel the most interesting route.

While the other two are based around building or maintaining Shirous ideals, Heavens Feel is the complete opposite where he trades it off and his path following that.

That contrast is what made it stand out for me.

I loved Heavens Feel, but then darker stories have always appealed to me. And Heavens Feel has the most satisfying ending in my opinion. I marathoned through all of Fate/Stay Night, but HF was what had me going on no sleep for days.

That's pretty much half-way through the last route, I would say you need some 4-5 hours (I think) perhaps 7.

Shirou's route was my second favorite, but I liked Unlimited Blade Works more, that is still better than Seiba's, though. The end is kind of a... letdown, in a good way (I personally disliked it, a lot. I almost destroyed my computer in rage), after HF comes the Epilogue, so add some other 10-20 minutes if you let the game take its time.

Also, after that comes catching the bad ends, You get a nice prize for catching them all, so I suggest you do it, it should take another hour of you life (probably). Spoiler (not really)

You'll reach Nirvana if you catch them all.

I've saved all the paths to different bad ends as I went through. So I've got about 40 saves all lined up.

When I feel like it, I'll do that. I had already read somewhere that was a prize for finding them all. (shiny things <3)

It was hard for me too, but I just had to click click click until I was through the with the story.

You really need to finish it up to see the epic ending. It's just one big revelation to the entire Fate story. It's the last route for that reason. Also there's nothing more epic when Kirie Kotomine is involved in all of it. If Fate/Stay Night comes out this Fall and decided to borrow heavily from the HF route, you'll probably thank yourself more for reading it.

Personally I disliked Sakura's route the most. The darker storyline was a bit harder to bare because it was really long (the longest) and slow at the same time. Not having any attachments to Sakura didn't help either. She's not a very attractive character to me. I've hated her archetype since Hinata from Naruto. But that's just me. I also like characters few others care about :D .

.- BUT - Shirou does develop into a more respectable person. He starts thinking like a rational adult, having neither the overabundant idealism of a child nor the cynicism of his predecessors. I didn't rip any hairs out while reading his dialogues that time around.

Heaven's Feel is by far one of the best routes in the entire VN, Same with Unlimited Blade Works, Fate was pretty mediocre compared to the other 2.

Hmm... Maybe you think that's the case, but I'll tell you this, I couldn't distinguish good from bad storytelling even if stared me in the face. So for me, Fate was as good as all the others, really.

It only gets worse. It won't ever get better. You're almost there, though. As for my opinion - personally, I liked UBW better, but the reason I value UBW so much is Heaven's Feel. HF is the what makes F/SN be what it is.

Oh, bugger. It'll keep on getting worse, won't it? Exactly as I feared.

Good to see I'm not the only one that doesn't seem to enjoy darker themes.

Long live us light-hearted fellows! :D
