OriginalRen Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Hey all, I've been doing a lot of games and other fun stuff around the website for awhile now and I just wanted to make a thread asking for some feedback on what everyone has thought so far. Please note I am not necessarily asking people to give me advice on how to "improve" the games for the future, but rather how much did people enjoy or dislike the ones that have already happened. What do you think of the current visual novel trivia thread? Did you enjoy the recent giveaways and/or were the prizes decent? Let me know! Quote

OriginalRen Posted August 22, 2014 Author Posted August 22, 2014 Give away a trip to Japan? You think the ticket I bought is for me? Surprise! they were fine. Thanks for the feedback! Quote
Zakamutt Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 As a person who obsessively optimizes and uses every advantage in competitions (if it is possible, I feel compelled to min/max practically no matter what) some more effort to avoid easy ways to optimize that may not be in the spirit of contests could be useful. Among other things it cannot be ruled out that another party has used the same method, which would kind of leave you at an "unfair" disadvantage if you did not use said method yourself. The puzzle sleuthing is your best so far, really did wrack my brains there because it really was fun enough to not just min/max. Quote
nohman Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 I haven't participated in any of your contents, but they're an effort that enriches the community. I appreciate the work and generosity you put into them and I hope they continue. Quote
krill Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 your doing a great job and a good service for the community ren, so far i only participated in a few of the giveaways and im in a team for trivia month but iv enjoyed being in them . Quote
Tenkuru Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 The cryptic puzzle was really fun for me, really racked my brain on that one! The Akiba tours were really informative and of course, fun. Great job! Quote
Chewy Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 It gives this community some interesting activities as well as free stuff (I am Asian and so I <3 free things) Quote
suikashoujo Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 I've had a lot of fun participating in them, especially the scavenger hunt. The prizes have been fun too; it's hard to find a place online that sells hard copies for reasonable prices, so getting the chance to win one for free is always a plus. But I'd love if you continued them after returning from Japan. As for the trivia contest, I would have participated if I had been able to find a team. Unfortunately though, I don't have enough knowledge to compete alone. I only knew like three or four of the quotes, so I'm already out. Still, it's a good idea for a contest. Quote

Are there any particular prizes you want to see in future giveaways? In other words, what kinds of VNs do you want to see? Quote
OriginalRen Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 It seems a lot of people enjoyed the cryptic puzzle solving, so I'll have to keep that in mind for something similar. Quote
