nohman Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I actually feel that running away serves best at the bad end, because ultimately the routes are about solving the heroines problems and in the bad end that wasn't the case. Other than being able to not be bothered by Michiaki it didn't solve any of Yumiko's problems internally. Also, if you think about it due to the influence of Ichigaya that confrontation wasn't that far-fetched. I agree, I wasn't suggesting the good end was farfetched, unrealistic, or the worse of the two endings. I was commenting on how it made sense that running away was the bad end, though it hardly warrants that distinction. EDIT: Oh, I think you were commenting on what edwd2 said. My mistake. Quote

Michiru's was completely devoid of cause and effect. Quote

Sachi's was good in the sense that it gave her perspective on what to focus on in tackling her guilt, but it ultimately had nothing to do with Yuuji giving her the key or her getting soap opera'd. Michiru's is definitely worse though. Quote

Michiru's is definitely worse though. I see Sachi's like this, when she chooses to kill herself she doesn't waste any time after that and Yuuji can't catch up to her in the hospital, although the occurrence of the traffic accident may be a little far-fetched, when she chooses to kill her mother she wastes a lot of time because she doesn't understand that she must kill her image of her mother not her mother in itself, that was enabling Yuuji to catch up to her. I get my reasoning pushes it a little but I think of it in this way. Quote

That doesn't make it a good set of choices though. Neither choice has any meaningful connection to the conclusion or can be anticipated. It simply comes down to coincidence. Quote

That's why I said that it's pushing it a bit. But overall the two major qualms I had with the game were Makina's "good" end and Michiru's choices, otherwise it was a great game. Quote
Totodile Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 in all honesty Makina's ending completely destroyed any respect i had for her route. If possible get that one done first and forget about it. Get Michiru's out of your way second (that route is more over the place than Amane's driving) then just cruise along with the other 3 at your own pace. Still flipping shit that there isn't a Chizuru route though. Quote

Mr Poltroon Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Reviving threads. Such a wonderful feeling. Here's a question. From playing all of the routes, you surely formed your own image and character for Yuuji. Using what you believe to be his character, do you think he was 'out of character' in some routes? I think he always was in character according to what I grasped from it, but others may think differently. Quote

I thought the hype about that mediocre VN has finally cooled down... how disappointing But back to your question... I did not like Yuuji for the whole VN , so I wouldn't say he was out of character. There are only some fragments when i thought he was a real human, but this was quickly wiped out with the next scene ... Greetz Quote
Down Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Ah man... I thought the hype about that mediocre VN has finally cooled down... how disappointing Comyu was supposed to replace it as the latest big release... But with the anime and whatnot and Comyu being slightly less tuned to most people's tastes (more chuuni I suppose)... And the hype will go up again when Meikyuu will be release, people have that to hype. Koestl is busy on Gahkthun so in 2018 maybe Here's a question. From playing all of the routes, you surely formed your own image and character for Yuuji. Using what you believe to be his character, do you think he was 'out of character' in some routes? Definitely. I felt it while playing the story, and having learned later the details of who wrote what it makes even more sense. It's especially blatant in Michiru's route, where in the first half he's just some sort of blank slate without his usual strong personality. This also manifests itself by less frequent and less witty monologues. But I think it's also true to an extent for Sachi's route... And maybe a bit Yumiko's. In those routes it's more about what he does to help the girls that feels slightly off. Quote
Poltroon Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I've finished reading this the other day, and I really liked it. It was really funny and cute most of the time :3 I liked Yumiko's route the most, she's also my favorite charecter. Quote
