Anyone here likes gorgeous pixel art? I'm thinking in particular about old games art. I don't play games in general but I love looking at those retro backgrounds. Gives a huge 80s/90s vibe. Some kind of nostalgia for an era I've never known.

Yeah, those pixel times really brings back memories. The Arcades with its more expensive CPUs had a lot of hiqh quality pixel art. When not going to the arcade, I enjoyed playing old PC games by Origin. They always had these realistic pix drawings. 

 

Since the in game models themselves weren't very attractive, you often put your imaginations into the pixel art.

Holy cow, those animated ones in Down's post look incredible. Are you finding those anywhere in particular?

I think I'm going to take the photos that Down posted and create a thread on 4chan in hopes of finding similar images that I can bring back here

I really enjoyed the nature gifs so thank you for sharing ^.^

Actually these are on the dorm room nameplates(at least in the first game), so I guess they indeed are canon.

I think some of those came from tumblr, maybe there's a relevant one somewhere.

The 4chan thread I made finally took off! It includes some of the images Down and cruncytaco posted as well as about 80 more beautiful pixel gifs. If anyone wants to see a load of pictures like the ones posted here refer to the link I posted further up

 

Edit: Wow from one of end of gif size spectrum to the other. Ill be completely removing the gif if it was such a problem~

Using water in rain or waterfalls is the easy way to do never ending gifs. I like it when people get creative and do something like the floating orb that has the same infinite effect
