Yea, there should be something like a weekly playtime for everyone in standard lol. btw im only in the Hard Area, i fail on most insanes (or get a B at best)

I play any map that's for standard, so they might not be -just- japanese (even though I actually exclusively only listen to japanese and korean songs)

so I'll probably have random maps in that regard

or I could just suggest a bunch of VN related ones

...although I'd be recommending them based on their hard/insane difficulties

... and even though I can play easy/normals..

well, you do the sorting, I'll just at least point out which ones are VN related.... or the ones that I use to train myself at my current level...

then did the hard one with nofail for awhile, until I could do most of it

then started to do other hard maps

eventually tried to push myself doing insane maps. around here I started to randomly do hd/dt/hr's wherever possible on easy/normals, usually hd+dt+hr on easy, and dt+hd on normals

and now that's where I am. also I still suck because I prioritized passing the map and not actually FC, 100%, or focusing on accuracy)

well i just grinded normals so my S's and A's on the hards/insanes will have their PP credited.They weren't credited before because I had a higher performance in Osu!mania compared to standard.

pp is seperate between the games you know. they are based on ranks, also they have a decay factor in them, so you don't get as much pp from older beatmaps in general (makes you keep playing lul).

also easy/normals don't give you a lot (and if they do, it's also based on ranks, and really really important to have mods if you want to inc. your pp with them), you need to grind out _new_ hard/insanes and then you get them, (as newer maps let you get higher ranks... for awhile)

for pp, you need to play those with mods for one (because HD+DT+HR makes your score... 120 or something% more?), also helps imo with getting somewhat used to insane's _speed_ (although people better than me disagree with me, but oh well)

I should note that to the game, FC > accuracy.

oh about hards, what I mean by the good/better players

is that they actually _grind hards with mods_

i.e. if you want to improve your rank, play harder maps and do better on them (and if you can at least FC stuff, you need to learn how to do mods)

Nope, I played with DT HD HR. without DT or Hard rock, the slow approach circles would kill me (I'm used to having continuous beats due to playing Hard/Insane alot)

Your performance rank is predominantly based on your performance on individual maps. The easiest way to improve it is to improve your rank on difficult songs. Do note that game modes are counted separately [which means, playing (osu!/Taiko/CtB) raises (osu!/Taiko/CtB) pp].
