Ceris Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Huh, for some reason, I didn't have this on my plan to watch for next season, somehow missed it. Looking forward to it, seems like something I'm going to love Quote
Tatsujin Posted September 29, 2014 Author Posted September 29, 2014 Oh you have ought to be fucking kidding me ... We only got 4 fully translated volumes and barely broke into the 5th volume, chapter 17. There are a total of 9 volumes released in Japan and it's still on-going .. awww come on! Just translate the stuff and slap it across the Japanese words. Cleaning takes forever. :/ Aww man ... Quote
Undying Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 gonna watch for sure, good music animes are hard to come by. Quote
Tatsujin Posted October 10, 2014 Author Posted October 10, 2014 Awesome awesome first episode! Can't wait for the second episode. Quote
Heizei_koukousei Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 A-1 has made some great productions, and some... not so great as well. From the first episode this is looking to be from the first category, but well see. Quote
Ceris Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I was enjoying this until the lead girl was introduced. She reminds me of Chitoge from Nisekoi... And I didn't care for Chitoge Quote
Tatsujin Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 Yeahhh the anime is following along. Damn A-1 Pictures you didn't let me down with those amazing animations. -prepares tissues- Quote
crunchytaco Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Some Manga Spoilers ahead: I read ahead with the Manga. Female lead is very plain looking in the Manga without the fancy colors and lip gloss drawn in. Her introductory did make her out annoying and similar to Chitoge. Her role in the Manga develops into a mentor and coach for Arima. Their relationship is somewhat cliched; but her snoopy references are so damn kawaii. I've fallen for her character because of her constant positive attitude and support for Arima. As of last chapter, something tragic seemed to have happened to Kaori but we don't know what. Her Carpe Diem attitude until now seemed to be connected to her health. Quote
Niko Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Such a good show! Damn, didn't see this coming. The OP sounds great too. Quote
Tatsujin Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Read the manga. It's good. The anime is following the manga very closely. Quote
Niko Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Read the manga. It's good. The anime is following the manga very closely. My only problem with reading the manga is that this is a music anime. Wouldn't that defeat the purpose? Or no? Quote
Tatsujin Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Read the manga, listen to some good soft music, or whatever you like. Quote
Niko Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Read the manga, listen to some good soft music, or whatever you like. Okay, I'll give it a shot. I tend to like anime more than manga, but I'm sure the manga will be great. I mean, its a great story already. Quote
Roach Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 I'm planning to watch this soon. The opening song is always played for at least once a day in my school and goddamn, it's soooo good. Btw, I'm sure the title is supposed to be "Your Lie in April," not "April is Your Lie." crunchytaco 1 Quote
melo4496 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 That OP is freakin' good, I'm actually singing it now *sings* crunchytaco 1 Quote

Roach Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 erm ... what country you live in? because that doesn't sound like the US. Some country in south-east Asia. It's quite common for an anime song (and Japanese songs in general) to be played here. Quote

Down Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 We are derailing the thread btw. It's the (tied) best OP this season so it's okay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXq3yuAiuA0 Also the show itself really keeps delivering. Hotblooded music contests, seishun drama, fantastic character animation! This season is so good so I can't tell it's the AOTS, but it sure is a candidate. Quote
Ceris Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 In a weaker season, this anime would be hands down the best and just be a shining jewel, but with so many good things, it has competition but still being my favorite, just not the in the same sense of being the sole centerpiece. Quote
Roach Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXq3yuAiuA0 y u do dis? Now I have the urge to listen to the OP for like another 50 times (again).. Quote
melo4496 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Goosehouse (artists of Shigatsu's OP) is awesome. My favorite song "Oto no naru Hou e" (Silver spoon II ED) was also by them. Edit: Episode 8, my favorite scene 2nd Edit (wait, is this even allowed?): *sighs* I'm so sad and heartbroken that only few people here discuss about this amaaazing anime. *sulks* This kind of anime (which has classical music theme) is rare. I only know two others like this: Nodame Cantabile La Corda and I love them both to the depths of my soul. Shigatsu wa kimi no uso is obviously superior in animation (Heck, Takeshi and Emi play scales so beautifully it gives me goosebumps). Haven't watch the 9th yet and I'm excited for it. Please inform me if you know any other anime like these. Of course, I'm not talking about something like Beck or K-on, which are about Bands, or Rock music. Quote
