It feels like he trolls us even more if you look back: Gear 4 is revealed on the last page of chapter 783. Gear 2 was mentioned for the first time on the last page of chapter 387. This guy knows what he´s doing.

Finally had time to complete Punk Hazard, including that filler which was strange but not bad especially the call back to Alabasta. Overall I enjoyed PH as it was way better paced than Fishman Island and had better characters (good to see Smoker and Tashigi make up for their absence). Now to see what Dressrosa has to offer...

Fujitora is one badass motherfucker.

Also the Gorousei, about time we finally see them again....

And thus finally, the Dressrossa arc "somewhat" ended~

Posted

Now its almost official those geezers will be the final bosses.

Fujitora's plan have worked allright, he show the whole world how corrupted Shichibukai is..i wonder what he will do now though, will he just go and try to catch Luffy and Law? Or he will be "accidently" looking for them in a bit of wrong place? Or he will quit marines right away?

Anyway, i gues there will be more like 2 more aftermath chapters (still need to see that Law x Luffy conversation) and then we will move to next stage (Big Mom? Kaido? Some random adventure?)

p.s.

About the poll, best ark was Enies Lobby, the second to the best was Arabasta.

This one last chapter gives more plot points and foreshadowing than half of dressrossa arc   :amane:

So to sum it up:

Kid's alliance aims for Shanks, Aokiji joined Blackbeard, Fujitora is going on a rogue, the Mafia guy is going against the rest of Strawhat crew that's defending Caesar, smoker's days away from the ever mysterious Dr. Vegapunk, and the Gorousei is still lower than the Tenryuubito.

We also get to seek the personalities of Akainu and Fujitora, love their similiarities and contrast.

@Zebhra - Keep spoilers hidden with the spoiler funciton pls.

@Chapter 793 - Now this sets up for a lot of things, I'm really excited for the next chapter.

I really want to know more about the supernovas now, those guys are up to huge things. I'm expecting to learn more about Capone's ability in the next chapter, and more importantly, maybe we'll finally find out wtf happened to the guys that were on Sunny.

Anything not shown in the anime yet is considered spoilers, so basically anything about the current chapters.  :wahaha:

Enies lobby was my favorite arc.

For many reasons :

Ussop wasn't the dipshit he usual was and actually was relevant in a serious manner (man .... the feels in Water Seven ...)

We learn about Robin and many things about the lost years are mentionned, which got me even more hooked than I actually was.

The CP9 were the first really badass classy group of enemies (appart from crocodile). I just loved them as opponents for the straw hats.

The new boat.

The first big battle which result in a huge boost in their wanted

And everything we learn during that arc about everything.

I really like the manga overall (except you ussop, please die), but this arc really stood out for me. I could read it over and over and not get bored.

@maef

Yeah, Usopp is so annoying most of the time, though he does have some rare moments of glory e.g Water Seven and his fight in Alabasta. Enies Lobby had so much information throughout the whole arc, my god, it was a really great world building imo.

My favorite arc is definitely Dressrosa, even if most of the enemies weren't really that strong for us to get some more fight scenes. I'll wait a few more chapters before making a post talking about my thoughts about this arc, there are still a few things that we gotta see before the new one begin.

So the Dressrosa arc in the manga is finished? I should pick it up. The anime is in a bit too long stalemate now even though you every week wish for something epic to happen. And it is sloooooowly building up that feel and epicness I fell in love with 5 years ago.

The anime is currently showing Law's flashback, you'll get to know Corazon, it's very easily one of One Piece's feels moments. Dressrosa is basically over, but we still got the wrap-up chapters coming before we start a new arc. I guess we're either in the post-arc or close to it.

The only one about whom i never worried is Zorro, he is sometimes even more badass than Luffy (when bandana is on, you know shit is going to get real). There was not even a single time i was dissapointed in him and thisone

Is one of my most favorite chapters from entire One Piece.

So dont worry, he'll play his part too)

He's always the badass character. I mean, even his haki is the most badass we've seen so far, look at this:

I caught up to the manga a few weeks ago after finishing the anime on the same day, and I must say, I have never marathoned an anime so hard in my life. It was a bit of a slow start, but I still feel the beginning had a lot of charm to it, and looking back, there is a LOT of foreshadowing that happens early on. With all the hate that it gets, I was expecting to be at least a little disappointed, but nope, it's easily one of my top 10 favorite series at this point. I even enjoyed some of the filler. To think that I overlooked this for so long because of that 4kids dub when I was a kid... :amane:

A couple of days late but that's how I felt too. One Piece is one of the animes you more or less have to give 25 - 50 episodes before you know what you want. You can't except an anime with 700 episodes to become good in 5 - 15 episodes. Yes this isn't for everyone but in my opinion you are missing something if you don't watch it. The big four is special even though a lot of people see it as mainstream.

In my opinion: One Piece, Naruto, Fairy Tail and Bleach (althouh Bleach should't be here anymore maybe).

Oh..FT...okay (diffirent journal though), and i agree about bleach (it should have ended with Aizen's defeat) and Naruto have ended... and i feel like it is the final ark of FT aswell.... soon enough One Piece will be the only "big" weekly manga... #sad
