Cyrillej1 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Well, in that case, does this sound sad to you? It's one of m favorite songs but I've been unable to put it definitely into one camp or the other. It sounds more hopeful, good-feeling to me. Like relaxing, and casual. That's how it makes me feel from listening to it, but I didn't pay attention to the lyrics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9YwUYqUHig I really like this one for the lyrics, and the feels it gives me~ Confession: Well, also because out of all the characters in Amagami SS, she was the one I could relate to the most. I sometimes feel like I also have two sides to myself, and would like someone to accept me as I am (like her). Quote
Flutterz Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Confession: I am using my nigh nonexistent Japanese to slowly translate the song I've been listening to on loop for the past couple of weeks Quote

I sometimes feel like I also have two sides to myself, and would like someone to accept me as I am (like her). Hm...Haven't seen Amagami myself, personally. It's a nice song, though I feel like it takes some getting used to. xD My current story actually has a protagonist with a bit of a duality thing going on, though the tone of the story is a bit heavier than a straight-romance. I've been listening to this (and it's multiple variations) as inspiration - I've more or less memorized both the lyrics and translation at this point. xD Kosakyun 1 Quote

I'd love listening to it again and again. It gives off a weird feeling, for me. The sudden change in the song just gives me a sort of image where there's this crazy thing inside someone that just wants to break out. Though it may as well be related to the source of the song. I like the original best, btw. I've been thinking lately too... 'Wasurenaide' has been showing up in a lot of songs I've been listening to. Quote

This is the version that has my favorite translation, personally. All the versions are quite good xD If I remember correctly, Wasurenaide translates into 'don't forget' - it's quite a useful word, theoretically, in terms of songs with strong themes attached to them. Theoretically. Confession: I haven't seen nor read Tokyo Ghoul at the moment. xD Rinima 1 Quote
Zakamutt Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Confession: I once tried to tl a Fapanese song - omega rhythm by uplift spice, too lazy to link), or at least understand what it was about. I decided to stop because I was liking it less when I actually understood it. This is like looking up Drist's Arterial Black all over again... Quote

rainsismyfav Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Linkin Park makes me remember my childhood... That band, along with others like Ryan Cabrera / Hoobastank / Red Hot Chili Peppers, defined a long period of my childhood. Prior to that were the boy-bands like backstreet boys/ N-sync. Now, Japanese songs/bgms define me lol. It sounds more hopeful, good-feeling to me. Like relaxing, and casual. That's how it makes me feel from listening to it, but I didn't pay attention to the lyrics. I really like this one for the lyrics, and the feels it gives me~ Quote
LinovaA Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Confession: I just spent five hours of my life waiting for a tetanus shot because a misstep led to me shoving a nail through my foot. ... fun times! q-q Quote
Zakamutt Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Was it actually like, literally through the whole foot or just a bit in there? because oh god. Quote
LinovaA Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 It wasn't the WHOLE way... but it was like... pretty much there. Like, I could have probably seen it through the top of my foot type thing (if I had looked before having the nail pulled out). Foot hurts like a bitch right now. q-q Quote
Deep Blue Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 was it fun like in the home alone scene? (hope you are alright now ) Quote
LinovaA Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 was it fun like in the home alone scene? (hope you are alright now ) I wish it could have been fun. xD Thanks though. Doc said I should be fine. Just need to soak my foot in salt water two times a day. Confession: I might be able to postpone my first day at work because of this. I am now no longer sure if this is a curse or a blessing. xD Quote
Deep Blue Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 That movie was legitimately fucked up. Like, really, I'm amazed that it's a kids' movie. It was really xD Quote
LinovaA Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Buuuummer. Make sure to clean it regularly, puncture wounds are the worst. Got one from a cat once when the damn thing attacked me for no reason, and it didn't heal for several weeks straight. That was probably from the germs in its mouth, though, but still. Puncture wounds suck. Oh god, that would suck. I could imagine a cat puncture wound would be pretty shitty if it didn't heal for several weeks. Just saying though, if this doesn't heal for several weeks I am going to be several levels of upset with life. xD Quote
Funyarinpa Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Confession: I seem to be drawn to sad things... even slow, sad music is comforting to me. Quote

Kosakyun Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Confession: I used to listen to crappy alternative rock bands when I was a kid, like Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, and the like. Ugh. Quote
Tyrael Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 ^ doesn't even know the difference between rock and pop punk... what a scrub Quote
TexasDice Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 I'm an Offspring fan and I still listen to Sum41. I don't have any taste in music, because I listen to basically everything. Rap, Metal, Rock, Country, Classic, I just don't care. The only thing you have to keep away from me are autotune and mac-book fart noises. Quote

TexasDice Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 That reminds me: I totally neglected my harmonica over the last few weeks. I probably suck even harder now than I did before. Quote
