Valmore Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Confession: I'm hooked on To Love Ru Idol Revolution. Collecting cute girls is much fun   Considering you live in Finland (I so want to visit Finland) the abject cold is probably a good reason to stay inside and play porn games, too.It rarely is so cold that I wouldn't want to go outside though  At work we had a staff meeting and for some reason the managers had us introduce ourselves and where we wanted to visit before we die. Only two of us listed anywhere with a heavy emphasis on winter climate. The other dude picked Reykjavik, I picked Lapland.Confession: Due to a sixth grade project where everyone in the class had to do a detailed report on a European country, I have an obsession with Finland, since that was the country I picked. Needless to say, I was near the bottom of the list in picking, since all of the more well-known countries like Ireland, England, France, Spain and Italy were already taken. I was going to take Czechoslovakia (That's the Czech Republic and Slovakia to you youngins) but the guy ahead of me took it. Off the cuff I picked Finland and thought it was most f-in' cool place in the world after researching it. It's at the top of my "If I ever become stinking rich I'm going here" list. Japan is second. Darbury Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Three true confessions:(alternatively please inform us of the circumstances surrounding these confessions) The first two are surprisingly boring job-related things. The then-governor of Hawaii thought an ad campaign I worked on had made a mockery of the people and traditions of his state, so he made a big announcement that the team and I were persona non grata there. Just trying to score a few political points, really. Same goes for the second one: a random senator attacked a different campaign I'd directed, and said a few choice words about what an awful person I must be. I do a lot of work for regulated industries — alcohol, tobacco, pharma, finance, etc — if that explains anything. The last one is still a mystery to me. First year of college, there was a late-evening Student Council meeting. (I was VP of the incoming class.) There were about a dozen of us, and we were the last people in the Student Union. At some point, someone says, "Um, do you smell smoke?" And yes, yes we did. Another person heads down the hall to see what's up, then comes back two minutes later, white as a sheet. "Guys, we have to get out now. Go now." We ran downstairs, saw the situation I described — burning building, blocked exits, cut fire hoses — and started looking for a way out. Eventually, we found a back door that was unblocked and only kinda sorta on fire. Someone got that open, we jumped over the flames, and out into safety. The police never figured out who did it or why they targeted us. I suspect a yandere. Shikomizue, Funyarinpa, Mr Poltroon and 2 others 5 Quote
Funyarinpa Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Holy fuck lol, that fire thing would've haunted me. Anyway, I just something I hadn't done in too long. I studied. I sat down and studied. It was probably not for even 15 minutes. Maybe it was closer to five. I don't know. I didn't cover much ground. Not sure if all (any) of it even got in my head. I studied. Without anyone telling me or forcing me, I sat down and studied. I hadn't been doing that... for almost a year at this point. Can it be...  change? Darbury, LinovaA, Kenshin_sama and 1 other 4 Quote

OriginalRen Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 All right Fuwanovel, the holiday season is fast approaching and I just thought of an awesome idea for all of the members that frequent the confession's thread on a regular basis. For the past year or so, members in this thread have opened up to one another in a lot of different ways. While it may not feel like this to some of you, I definitely think this thread has become a safe haven for those who experience problems in your life or just feel like getting something off your chest. It warms my heart to see so many people be accepting of each other, and while there have been moments where joking is a must, for the most part I can tell that everyone genuinely cares about the people who come here. As such, I wanted to do something special for all of you.I think we should host an exchange of words in the form of a secret Santa activity. Essentially speaking, everyone who wants to participate would be allowed to write some heartfelt messages to one another in secret and send them to me via PM/email/Skype before a certain deadline. I would then take your secret message or messages (you can totally write as many as you'd like) and read them to everyone during a live Christmas stream (where yes, I would dress up like Santa Claus). I of course would keep names anonymous, and everyone could enjoy a little holiday spirit and confidence boost. The reason I want to do this is because I feel it's a good way to thank everyone for all of the amazing respect this thread has created. Opening up to people (even if it is the internet) is tough, and I think this a great way to have a little fun while doing it. Kawasumi, Flutterz and arakura 3 Quote

InvictusCobra Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Alright, big confession time. Some might say this is too personal to be posting on the internet, whilst I am not just another  4chan person, hidden behind the veil of anonimity. Today marks the second anniversary of the day I tried to do something about my unhappiness. The fact I am still here, writing this post, should give you enough clues as to how that ended up.Not sure how to feel about that. Things haven't gotten worse, but they haven't gotten much better either. If anything, things are more "stable", since I've entered a routine with some degree of normality. However, the problems still lie there, dormant, waiting for the next time I am forcefully ripped out of my comfort zone by Ms. Life and have nothing to keep me afloat. I do not know if that would be good or bad honestly. Edited November 9, 2015 by InvictusCobra K450 1 Quote
