Funny story: my dog snuck over to my mom's cup of Bailey's and lapped at it while we weren't paying attention.  She immediately started coughing and ran away from it.  She now sniffs glasses before she tries to drink what's in them  xD

I love dogs.

I like the taste of alcohol burning down my innards as its flowing downwards. A dry martini extra dirty usually does the trick. vodka mix over gin preferably. although my limit is usually 3 glasses of that with whatever shots i have in between, its nice once you get past that limit since you no longer taste the alcohol. Everything tastes smooth from there on. All you feel is a warm elixir filling you up.

Confession:

I recently sold a lot of my manga because it didn't fit in my room anymore. But now I really regret selling some of the series (especially Nana) and I'm secretly looking at a way to buy them again and fit them in my room somehow.

Confession: I was going to do things today, but then the fuwa hearthstone skype group and a certain person playing three arena rounds happened. I am no longer sure if I will do anything today.

Am I the only one here that is partial to liqueurs?

Haven't actually tried any.

Confession: Today was the last day of class, all that's left is an exam in 2 weeks and I'm done. ^_^

Yeah, I don't go past that limit anymore. Bad things happen then (mostly feeling absolutely awful the next day). Also, like someone else posted earlier, I have an alcoholic in my close family (though that relative is now "reformed"), so I tend to be a bit more careful since learning about that.

Since this has become "what kind of alcohol do you like" thread:

- Beer is good. Good beer is better. I'm partial to darker ones that are either especially bitter or sweet. Stouts and IPAs in the former category, winter warmers or brown ales in the latter. Beer definitely takes some getting used to, but college will generally give you ample opportunity for that (and will get you used to the absolute worst stuff - if you can get past that, you can learn to actually enjoy good beer later on in life...)

- I really dislike wine, especially red wine. The tannins in red wine just taste "bad" to me. I probably have just never "acquired" the taste for it, but at this point I've kind of given up. White wine is not as bad, but I don't really enjoy it either.

- Good mixed drinks are generally my favorite. Whiskey-based is usually my preference (especially rye), but I'm ok with gin-based as well. Vodka is usually kinda boring (no real flavor except alcohol), and I generally just don't drink tequila.

My current go-to is usually a martini: 3 parts gin, 1 part white vermouth, two dashes of orange bitters, stirred with ice for ~20 seconds, then served up in a chilled glass (optional twist of lemon). Quite different from what you'll usually get if you order a martini at a bar, but quite good, especially if you use good gin and vermouth. Quality matters a lot for making a good mixed drink...

Confession: I didn't drink at all (aside from perhaps a sip every few years when my parents would try to introduce me to it, which I inevitably hated) until a few months after I turned 21.

I'll admit I haven't tried good beer, but the few times I've tried beer it tasted kind of like what I'd imagine piss tastes, and that's not the kind of taste I want to get used to. :P

Alcoholism is bad. I don't encourage it. When I'm in a hypomanic induced state though, I just don't know when to stop spending and I hate leaving a crowd of people when the tables are still hot. Therefore I stay longer and drink more than I need to. I'm also a compulsive eater/drinker. If you leave anything in front of me long enough, it'll disappear. I rarely ever have, or would enjoy a drink by myself. I'd rather have a juice.

Confession: Exhausting the enjoyment out of everything I do in life makes it so difficult to enjoy life (redundant, I know.) There comes a day I foresee when I become unexcited by everything and everyone close to me; and life feels like Skyrim after you've invested 50+ hours into it. Without much interest left in things or people, I troll everyone just to get by. In return, my humanity gets reduced to absurdity and no one sees me as anything worth taken seriously anymore. Then when my daughter has grown independent for herself, I will leave a suicide note saying, "Hey, I'm bored. Going to roll a new character. GG."

The only time I've drank a alcholic beverage was some apple cider that had gone bad in highschool. I likely will never willingly drink alcohol, since my Dad is a bit of a drunkard and liked to take out his life frustrations on the rest of the family (despite rising through poverty in Korea and becoming middle class citizen of the states). However, it seems the apple dosn't fall from the tree considering I have my own vice of vigorously masturbating to all sorts of 2-D porn to escape from reality.
