傍観者 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 For some reason, snowflakes used on the site make the pages extremely laggy. I don't mind if it's only the issue for me, but if that's the case for other people as well - it might be better to come up with a way to enable/disable them at will. Quote
Kosakyun Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Not a problem for me, but I guess it's pretty nice to have an option for that. It kinda removes the festive mood of the site though. Quote
Down Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 There's a problem with it on Firefox, it was also the case last year (the script hasn't changed). I'll try to dig up the thread where it was discussed, I can't remember if there was a solution or a way to disable it... Quote
Silvz Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I use firefox and don't have any problems with it .-. Quote
Down Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Hm actually it's not a problem with Firefox itself, it's a combination of having a toaster and some browsers making it worse I think. Don't think it can be solved but surely there are plugins to disable scripts around. Quote
nagahide Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 adblock should be able to disable it.... it never even showed up on torch Quote
Tay Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 It's on a list of things to fix on the front page. Still working on some back-end stuff to make it a reality. I apologize that it's taking longer than I anticipated! Quote
Nayleen Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 The Christmas theme ended prematurely since it was already removed in the outstanding changes, which I just pushed live. Although I had already removed the snowflakes entirely two days ago. Quote
Tay Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 RIP snowflakes, Viva le Changes de Nayleen! Quote
