Mosaic Removal Tutorial

Hey all!

I have decided to make a tutorial on how to redraw/remove mosaic's from censored H-Images

I haven't made a tutorial before but lets see how it goes ^^

i will be adding sections to this as i edit the image so please be patient while i upload

What You Need

• Photoshop or another photo editing software (For example: Paint.net, GIMP)
• Graphics Tablet or use pen tool (i am using a tablet for this tutorial i may do a tutorial with the pen tool later)
• Image to be edited
• Some image editing skill
• Drawing skill
  
• Reference of genitals (optional only if you are unsure on how to draw)

Step One: Line Art

Choose the image you want to edit

(optional)

add a blur to the area to blend the mosaic so you get a better view if you are unsure

From there Roughly sketch/work out the right perspective for the genitals

Then start building on the shape and to make sure everything is right

Finish Line Art

Step Two: Color

Start off by adding a basic color to the area

Start adding highlights to give more depth

(ill add more soon just doing some more XD)

you cant really remove the mosaic because its just reducing the area to pixels

i can do it with photoshop once it has been saved you cant remove it

but am I the only one who always prefers the censored version in games? I mean JAST uncensored some games like President and I didn't really like it and would appreciate an option to revert the changes.

If its only one girl or yuri scene the I like uncensored arts (on sankaku chan etc) but when there is penis I prefer censored xD Guess I just don't like looking at penises

I'm with you there. I play eroge for the story so I don't really care much for the HCGs anyway.

I also prefer the censored version when there is one. Mainly because genitalia in most censored VN's are pretty damn ugly. Since its supposed to be censored most artists are pretty sloppy when drawing them.

In most cases I'd rather have mosaics than poor redraws.

Can you post your brush settings for the outline and coloring Bubu-san?

Also, how do you achieve the "highlight" look?
