BookwormOtaku Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Watched the first three episodes of GaoGaiGar, it's over the top and silly but I'm liking it so far. Quote

SELLA AND LEYSRITT'S DEATHS WERE SO INCREDIBLY UNNECESSARY WHY DID YOU DO THIS UFOTABLE Isn't it fine? They were rather annoying, and I bet UFOTable was running out of its drawing budget or something so they just cut them out, period. Quote

That episode kinda lacked the degree of polish that ufotable usually has because it was outsourced to Wanpack. Quote
SanadaShadow Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 ...Did you not understand the joke? Honestly, people these days can't read the mood through a forum post. jkjk. I've begun to watch FMP! The Second Raid and Fumoffu simultaneously. Since Fumoffu seems to make no real difference to the main storyline, I just watch it when things in TSR get too heavy for me. And, my god, it is heavy. Kosakyun Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Finished the whole season one of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure yesterday. I marathoned the 26 episodes with a friend. Holy shit. They weren't joking when they said the show was manly. I actually didn't expect the arcs to actually contain different Jojos. That's why I was so surprised when Jonathan died. Also, that Kars man. Holy shit. That was powerful. It's a good thing Joseph was so manly. His manliness sent Kars to the abyss. Too bad he was in outer space. Science wins again, bitch! Excited to watch Stardust Crusaders. SanadaShadow 1 Quote

Meowiii Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I'm finally watching the second season of sword art online. It took me quite a while to start watching it since I didn't really enjoy the second part of season one but I'm happy that I finally watched it cause I really enjoy it so far. Quote

Kosakyun Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Glad to see a fellow lover of the bizarre. What's Stardust Crusaders? Quote
SanadaShadow Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 If that wasn't sarcastic, then it's the third arc of the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure series. The one that stars Jotaro Kujo. Fucking shit I knew it. Dio was still alive. Fuck fuck fuck. The bastard won't die. Quote
Kosakyun Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Well actually, I'm deciding whether to watch Stardust Crusaders as is or also wait for the BDs to be translated, which I doubt will be anytime soon. The differences in the first season's TV and BD were just so obvious. Also, I hate censors. Does anyone know whether Stardust Crusaders still censors or not? Quote
Yuri Hunter Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I'm marathoning the first season of Love Live, I didn't knew such a kawaii anime existed! Quote
Down Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Also, I hate censors. Does anyone know whether Stardust Crusaders still censors or not? Still censored and still for very ??? reasons. Expect a blackish line across your screen whenever Jotaro smokes. Quote
SanadaShadow Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 There's a limit to how many likes you can give? I never knew... Quote
Yuri Hunter Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Yeah, when I dicovered I was confussed, but the motive is simple. ^^ Quote

Guess I'll hold off watching this one. BDs, please deliver. The enjoyment factor is decreased because of the censors. I was legitimately creeped out by some scenes in the previous season. I'll resort to the TV version if BD is never delivered. Quote
Nosebleed Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Watching Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita. I'd like to make some sort of clever remark about it but i don't really know what to say. Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Watched Arakawa Under the Bridge. Best comedy I've seen in a while and the Shaft animation nonsense goes well with the ridiculousness of the show. Quote

They make some of the best Rom-Coms out there, anyways Just finished watching Kiseijuu, was freaking amazing, would recommend 10/10,, gonna start watching Aldnoah season 2, I hear its worse than season 1...no matter, still pumped regardless, and they had great sound track season one. Mr Poltroon Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 What is Gintama all about and why does it pop up so often in conversation? I am usually distrusting of anime with a high number of episodes but I've been proven wrong on more than one occasion lately, so I'd be interested in knowing any impressions you may have. Should I waste my now even more precious free time with this? Quote

I am usually distrusting of anime with a high number of episodes but I've been proven wrong on more than one occasion lately, so I'd be interested in knowing any impressions you may have. Should I waste my now even more precious free time with this? It's one of the funniest anime out there. Tons of hilarious episode based on a mix of absurd, parody and dumb humor. Plus some real badass moments in the most serious arcs and a stellar cast. Plus the show only gets better. Sadly the "less good" episode are the first few and it only really starts to roll around ~25 but it's really only getting better from there. Try out the first few eps, if you like it just keep going, if not try to skip directly to #25. If you don't like that one then the show's not for you I guess. Quote

I am usually distrusting of anime with a high number of episodes but I've been proven wrong on more than one occasion lately, so I'd be interested in knowing any impressions you may have. Should I waste my now even more precious free time with this? Nothing major, just the funniest anime in existence. Imagine some of the best slapstick comedy + gag comedy you've ever seen on top of some of the most amazing action drama you've ever seen and a vast, charismatic cast of characters, and you got yourself Gintama. You'll likely find yourself plowing through those 250 episodes like there's no tomorrow. I was freaking depressed when I watched all of them because I needed more and the best part is that the more you watch the better it gets, there's a reason each new season of Gintama scores higher and higher on most anime sites. All of Gintama's seasons are on MAL's top 10 best anime for a reason. (Granted MAL's Gintama fandom is a bit over the top) Good thing Sunrise hasn't given up on Gintama and put out a new season now. Even if you don't agree it is the funniest anime in existence, at the very least I doubt you'll think it's bad, it just does a lot of things right and most people easily fall in love with the show's formula. To this day I have only met one person that thinks Gintama is terrible. Unless you despise over the top comedy, I don't think you'll dislike the show. Quote
FinalChaos Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Well Tiago you aren't alone. I myself want to see it but the 200+ episode count is stopping me. I already have a big backlog of stuff to watch/read and recently my free time has been getting lesser and lesser. Hopefully I'll get into a favourable situation soon enough to watch Gintama. No no don't remind me. I'm the kind of idiot who'll ruin his schedule over starting more stuff than he can handle. From what I've heard thus far it does sound interesting, especially considering I am quite the comedy fan. Quote

Same here I've read a piece about it in Otaku USA but when I saw the mammoth number of episodes coupled with the ever growing number of queued anime It could easily be several months before I could attempt it. Since I drop 95% of all anime I watch I pick my queue carefully but I still have an absurd amount to watch. Quote
