GetterEmperor Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Binged the first season of Knights of Sidonia today, and I gotta say it was 10/10 loved it. It did skip some stuff that was in the manga, but nothing that major so it was cool. Now time to move on to season 2. Also, woot woot 1000 posts. XReaper and Suzu Fanatic 2 Quote
Josephl64 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I managed to catch up with Working!!!, it'll be sad to see it end. I'm so happy for Yamada ~ Quote
mjriedstra Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 I managed to catch up with Working!!!, it'll be sad to see it end. Hilarious show, although I'm a little surprised by the direction of the main romance. It would feel natural if the show was based in reality, but feels strangely unlikely to have culminated this way given the personalities and hangups of the characters. Back to re-re-watching Hataraku Maou-sama. I hope they do another season. It's one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. Or maybe I'll start reading the LN. Quote
Croodle Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Currently watching Shokugeki no Souma, Charlotte, Overlord, Ninja Slayer, and Prisma Illya for things currently airing. May have to catch up on S2 of Nisekoi whenever I feel like it. Ping Pong the Animation looks very interesting with the art direction it went with, so I should get around to watching that as well. BookwormOtaku Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Just finished watching season 1 of Working!! and just watched the first couple episodes of season 2, one of the most hilarious anime I've seen in a while. Also finished watching the first season of UBW. For some reason of the two I'm more interested in seeing more of Working!!; could be because I already know how the plot of UBW is going to go having played the game and watched the movie. Quote
Suzu Fanatic Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Watched Plastic Memories a few days ago - now I just can't get it out of my head. I felt the pacing was off, and that they dragged out some things a bit too much, but I still loved the show overall. Strongly hoping for more seasons, I think the setting has a lot of potential, if they explore aspects of the show not really touched on (or had only briefly). I like to imagine that first season as a introduction to most of the main cast. huge spoiler, you've been warned I have mixed feelings about if Isla's shell should be in any future series though, on one hand it could lead to plot devices directly involving their former relationship, but on the other hand, it would...feel "wrong" somehow. I'd like his memories of her to remain as they were, and not subconciously replaced by a new girl with the same face. Bleh, that might not even be the right way for me to say it. ...I think, us the viewers should value who she was, too - and not subconciously forget about "who she was" due to her possibly "coming back" in future seasons. I feel it would deminish the entire story, and its characters But eitherway, I think this show can take any direction it wants and do well. Here's hoping. Quote
XionsProphecy Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Right now i am watching: Last Order: Final Fantasy VII. After that i'll re-watch: Dusk Maiden of Amnesia. Quote
Kosakyun Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Finished Guilty Crown a few days ago. ...Holy shit. That was beautiful. I'm sorta unsatisfied with the ending, but oh well. I am greatly interested in it now. Quote
Mugi Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 I agree with being sort of forced to feel like Taiga is best girl, which is why I want to read the VN so I can see the sides of all three girls and decide who is really the best. Not that it will really change anything, because Taiga will always be #1 waifu On topic, though. I'm watching Gintama, and it's one of the best experiences with an anime I have ever had. I highly recommend it if any of you haven't watched it yet. Kenshin_sama 1 Quote
Kenshin_sama Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 On topic, though. I'm watching Gintama, and it's one of the best experiences with an anime I have ever had. I highly recommend it if any of you haven't watched it yet. We need to convert as many people as possible to Gintokism. :3 Welcome aboard, Mugi! Enjoy your strawberry milk. Mugi 1 Quote
GetterEmperor Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Finished Knights of Sidonia S2. Found it to be just as good as S1 so I hope to see S3 sometime. Quote
gustave154 Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I'm watching Saekano made by the creator of White Album 2. As expected it's very good Quote
LiquidShu Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Finished Code Geass R2 a few days ago. The first episode of R2 pissed me off to no ends. I thought the second season was going to be an amnesia story but thank god it wasn't. The evolution of the characters and their relations with each other through out the show was just a joy to experience. From Shirley confession to Zero and Rolo killing her, Suzaku helping Lelouch after all was said and done, Nunally actually being alive... So much was going on and it was amazing. Towards the end I have to say I was worried about how they would end it, but it turned out that worry was for nothing. I loved the ending so much. At the ending credits I nearly exploded with emotions. Fun ride. Quote
Nosebleed Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 On topic, though. I'm watching Gintama, and it's one of the best experiences with an anime I have ever had. Pyonnu Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I thought Shokugeki no Souma was just a cooking anime, nothing more... and then I saw the foodgasms. 10/10. I'm on episode 7 and I have no regrets. Quote
HotTrax Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Recent watch Destiny of the Shrine Maiden. Yuri w/ spoilers happy end?? What! Quote
nohman Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Picking up some Chinese cartoons again after a few months away from them. Watching: S2 of Baby Steps (5 episodes in) House of Five Leaves (2 episodes in) Gangsta. (Starting on it a little later today) Quote
Suzu Fanatic Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Just watched the first episode of Kakumeiki Valvrave. Can't decide to drop or give it more of a chance. Felt really "busy" for a single episode, kinda concerned it doesn't know what to do with itself. Thoughts? Is it any good? EDIT: Re-watched the first episode, when I actually had time to focus on it and not a million other things. I take back what I said earlier, it actually has a pretty good start. Quote
astro Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Spice and Wolf is sooooo good. Astro was right. I am always right Quote

kyrt Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I'm on episode 105 of Gintama and have been watching a variety of anime from the current anime season. Quote
mjriedstra Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Having finished my fourth re-watch of Hataraku Maou-sama (can't believe how underrated that show is), now I'm watching Suisei no Gargantia again, as well as a bunch of the new shows. Shokugeki no Souma is better as a manga, or so I keep telling myself as I inexplicably continue watching it. I'm also about to start Charlotte. I've been letting the anticipation build. Quote
nohman Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 A little over halfway finished with Saraiya Goyou. Really digging the pace, art, and subtle characterization. Enjoyable watch so far. Quote
