TexasDice Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I feel so bad for the guy(s) making the art. Quote
Ram_Ram_A Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Was Sakura Spirit really that bad guys? I'm digging the their art style. Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Was Sakura Spirit really that bad guys? I'm digging the their art style. Prose was terrible imo. Quote
Tyrael Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Can't believe Sekai Project would waste their time on something like this :/ Quote
EldritchCherub Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Looks like it'll have a lot of 'plot', so I guess it has one redeeming quality... Quote
OriginalRen Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I feel so bad for the guy(s) making the art. I don't. Do you realize how much money they are earning? If they haven't opened commissions on DeviantART at $300 a half-body shot with a simple background, then they are absolutely insane. I mean you've already tainted your portfolio of work, so might as well go the whole way. Don't think people would pay for it? Ha! If I were these artists, I would demand 90% of the funds from Sekai. Fiddle Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 This game looks very boobs. 10/10 -_- arakura 1 Quote
Nosebleed Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Was Sakura Spirit really that bad guys? I'm digging the their art style. And that is how they make you pay for it, and then you realize you've made a grave mistake. Sakura Spirit is like a gold painted ball of mud, really shiny from far away but when you pick it up it just desintegrates in your hand and you're left looking disappointed at the mess you just made on the floor Quote

If I were the responsible artist, I would feel really bad. Who wants to be remembered for drawn porn without sex, in a game made without any fragment of heart, soul or care? But a shitton of money would certainly ease the pain, I guess. Quote

I ask myself the same questions over and over when it comes to artwork, as I have a friend who is an artist himself. Seeing as how they have a job with Sekai to begin with however, their portfolios really don't matter at this point given the field they are in. Quote
Ram_Ram_A Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Who wants to be remembered for drawn porn without sex, in a game made without any fragment of heart, soul or care? Most people don't want to be remembered for drawn porn with sex imo It's just an ecchi vn on steam. They do it for money and that's good enough since they need to eat too. I could see the artist's frustration but it's in a medium that isn't held to the same standards as literature or film so I have to question why he or she would want to learn to draw in the anime-style if they want to create a meaningful piece of "art". kratoscar2008 1 Quote
XReaper Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 another great step towards downfall of vns. developers should be exiled after taunting us with sakura spirit Erogamer 1 Quote
Katatsumuri Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 On a more serious note, I don't know how I feel about this (imminent dread, perhaps?), although I am getting a feeling that the title of this thread... Is sarcastic. Quote
XReaper Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 na it really wonders me, why so many people on steam or elsewhere are hyped about it. makes me feel uncomfortable Quote

hsmsful Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 VNs are going down the right way to become famous in the west, We can all rest assured for the dream of fuwanovel will come true soon, just a little more PLOT Quote
Diamon Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Sigh... If it was only the game, I guess that would still be alright... But I've heard that they were also very rude as game creators, stealing stuff, blocking their contact on Skype... Quote
kyrt Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 ...I should be happy about more visual novels heading westward...but then I remember sakura spirit. - I bought sakura spirit for the cheapest it's ever appeared on steam...it still was too expensive. - Whatever happened to Guardian Spell (was that it's name?) - is there any chance this could end up being tolerable? - How the hell does this game have 389 comments already 300+ of which are positive? So for as bad a game as this probably will be quite a few people on steam seem to like it (and even more like sakura spirit). I'm under the impression if this pushes more people to check out visual novels then as bad a game as this will probably be at least some good may come out of it. People have to start somewhere. - This is probably not going to help visual novels rep in the west though. Quote
XReaper Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 when living in a world made of shit, forced to eat shit at breakfast, forced to eat shit at lunch and forced to eat shit at dinner, then you shouldn´t wonder if you wake up at night craving for a big load of shit krill and LinovaA 2 Quote
Suzu Fanatic Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 MG really needs to hurry up and push Higurashi onto Steam if this genre is to save face at all. =/ It's been successfully greenlit for what, a year? Quote
