Slaine has been voted one of the most hated characters of 2014 anime by many.

I haven't seen Isuca so i can't compare, but the thing about Slaine is that he really manages to irk the hell out of you and you just want him dead throughout the whole anime.

Also the ending is as meaningless as they come.

Definitely not worth it unless you absolutely need to know what happens after season 1.

I don't know, I can't find that many god awful male MCs. Though i don't think Slaine is the worst of all time.

Shinn Asuka from gundam seed is a pratty damm bad one.

Like, I know there's copious amounts of bad characters out there, but not that many manage to grind my gears like Slaine did, most of them just make me bored or so uninterested I don't care anymore.

 

I can recall a few that hit my nerves though:

Yukiteru Amano (Mirai Nikki)

Kirito (Sword Art Online)

Hase Yuuki (Isshuukan Friends)

Art (Hamatora, mostly in season 2 where he did a 180 on his personality)

Togashi Yuuta (Chuunibyou) (mostly because Rikka's stupidity dragged him down)

All the characters in Mahou Sensou 

Mokkun from Boku no Pico (Why did you leave Pico!?)

I feel as though I'm one of the few that actually likes Slaine and hates Inaho. I think Slaine's character was well done and I enjoyed his scenes. i can understand why people hate him though. But for bad characters, Id have to say Kirito and Asuna in SAO. God damn Asuna.
