kratoscar2008 Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Too bad most of them are pretty predictable with their dialogue that i find dificult to believe they put H it for character development, you dont need to show it, just mention it hapened. Quote
Satsuki Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 They know they can sell a non H version for people who dont care about H but they know the H market matters, would be neat to see difference in copies sold. What are you trying to prove here, actually? I already stated very clear - yes, H is important to increase the sale, but it doesn't mean H = everything that matter in VN. Bonus will stay as bonus. Just like more people will be interested in buying the limited edition with CD/tapestry than the standard ver. And back to the topic please, continue this pointless debate is just a pain. Quote
AlexZandria Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Too bad most of them are pretty predictable with their dialogue that i find dificult to believe they put H it for character development, you dont need to show it, just mention it hapened. And that's where you know you're reading bad h-scenes. A good h-scene isn't about being horny or being in love. The a switch should go off in a character during that scene that changes their dynamic. It's a lot more common in M// because power struggle is a big theme. I really didn't find any of the H-scenes in NTY!!! To be a "turn on" or whatever you want to call it but the heartache, use, abuse, broken promises, broken morale that intertwined its way through all of them made each scene worth it. It should be about a character's snapping point or that moment their dynamic changes not just some explicitly drawn scene where one of them professes their love. Pretty sure my best friend walked in on me crying my eyes out to Komine's last h-scene on his true path in Hadaka Shitsuji before the scene happens he tells the Maeda he still loves him and expresses that it hurts when he's treated like a toy. He claims he couldn't expect to be loved back but he can't take the abuse anymore. Maeda confesses that he loves him and what you think is a kinky happy ending sex scene ensues. At some point during this Komine smiles and in pretty sure even says something along the lines of 'I love you' which sets Maeda off. Beforehand in the storyline it went back and forth on whether Maeda loved Komine or whether Maeda wanted to use him, but he breaks showing he's incapable of changing and commands Komine to call him master, to tell him he wants to be used. Throughout the next few CGS you watch Komine break down crying and sobbing, not that he can get away. It could have happened outside of an h-scene but it was more impactful to watch Komine's perfect fantasy of making love to the guy he's always wanted, melt away. Quote
ReMeDy Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I posted this in MG's article already, but again, I’m pleased to see Lilith is on the top 10 companies list. Ever since Nephrinn (Sanity Ends) from many years ago translated Prison Battleship, Asagi 1 & 2, Miss Leet, etc. I feel he’s generated a huge awareness for the company. It’s a shame Nephrinn is no longer around. I personally requested nothing but Lilith games (Prison Battleship 2-3 and Asagi games). Kagami is the single greatest artist in the world, and I love his depiction of mature bitchy women, which is a stark contrast to the infestation of young innocent moe girls. In hindsight, most all the Lilith games follow a similar formula: Female protagonist who's an asshole pisses off the bad guys. Bad guys trick protagonist into getting captured. Protagonist gets sexed up. Protagonist either escapes or doesn't based on decisions. However, if Mangagamer is going to do nukige, then they may as well do it right, so yes, more Lilith games, please! Quote
