joehawks12 Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Not really, i can understand Japanese when i listen to them but i can't speak nor read and write. Or i may the unique case. same. I'm able to have a layman's understanding of japanese since most of the N5/N4 words/phrases in japanese appear in a lot of shows and anime, but i can't read or write or speak. Haaa, i wish my parents would have been assholes and forced me to learn 3 to 4 languages when i was 4-12. Now i have english ingrained into my brain, so i translate words into english in my mind. I imagine the reason they say children learn languages easier is because they learn through pictures, emotions, and body language, and they don't correlate it with something else. A bibliotheque is a bibliotheque, and a library is a library, they're just extremely similar because humans will always be humans no matter the region or cultural differences. Not having to correlate it with something would be incredibly helpful, but since i'm past that stage i have to frantically understand what it would be in english, which is ridiculous for japanese, since their sentence structures are so god damned strange, and how similar symbols can be completely different to what they supposedly look like. And yes, the video below is chinese, but it's fairly applicable thanks to kanji being adapted from hanzi Quote

The Ultimate One Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 *meekly enters conversation with matzukaze* I myself don't mind if some words are tweaked to become more funny. Actually, in the original Majikoi game the version I played had some grammatical and format errors. (Which kinda sucked). Topic aside, out of all the heroines in Majikoi I do hate Miyako with a passion. LOL. Quote

Topic aside, out of all the heroines in Majikoi I do hate Miyako with a passion. LOL. Why? Aside from her route she is pretty cool, smart and funny (i like that 10pts sig and a running gag when you accidently pick Miyako in dialoges during other routes: "Majikoi over! Miyako wins!!") And if we consider her route...well...sigh...lets just pretend that never happened... Quote

And if we consider her route...well...sigh...lets just pretend that never happened... Yeah, i agree she is underwhelming in her route. Kinda makes sense if you consider her main personality being a unrequited love character. Once that is lost, she seems to have lost her best defining trait. Quote
Bubidibebo Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I always felt a tiny bit sad when in the end text of other routes it always said that miyako still loves yamato 10 something years later. That's why i was so eager to finally play the route and oh boy do i sadly agree with you 2 . But the gag endings are always great. I was totally caught on the timed pop up where the correct answer was not to press anything. Its a nice touch. Quote
Gizzie Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Well at least the ending was filled with vanilla Miyako being pregnant and all but yeah....her route was utter idontevenknow -_- I was really looking forward to her route because i loved her in the anime, but then they throw that sht to our faces. Also i just maid this account solely for this thread because i just fcking LOVE'd the original game and i'm really looking forward to this one, so thanks for your good work so far and good luck in the future Quote
