Mugi Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I heard this game was notorious for being annoying to set up, but I just don't know what to do. I looked around a bit and found what seems to be a link to an old installation guide by Tay, but it leads to a blank page. I attempt to mount the disk with DT Lite when the setup tells me to, but it doesn't work for some reason. Do I need a newer version of Daemon Tools? What am I doing wrong? Quote

Walk me through what you've done so far (including where the various files are on your hard drive) from the start. My Muv-Luv folder are on my desktop as of now, same with the Daemon Tools folder. I was instructed to run the installer, then after being prompted to insert disk 1 (being MUVLUV_EXTRA.ccd), I needed to open up Daemon and drag the aforementioned file into Device 0, so I did that and clicked "Ok" in the installation client, it had no effect. The window asking to insert disk one just pops up again. I've tried dragging both disk 1 and 2 into it at the same time, but to no avail.Then again, I am relatively new to using DT so I could be missing something. Quote

You can try the instructions Deep Blue posted to see if it works, but here's one thing to try: install the game to the root of your hard-drive (ex: C:/) instead of in a program files or desktop directory  EDIT: Also, make sure you're opening the right file when you're trying to play the game (/index.php?/topic/812-muv-luv-installation-help-solved/?p=8644">see this thread) Quote

Minoru Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Oh..I just needed to get the newest version of Daemon tools..the old one that came packaged with the folder wouldn't mount it I guess. Well don't I feel stupid.. So it's working now? If not, one further advice would be to check your Computer screen (where you can see your harddrive partitions and also the CD-ROM drive) after mounting each .isos for any indication of the virtual drive showing that Muv Luv is inserted into your PC. If not, the mounting process was not done correctly either by you or by DaemonTools. Quote
