Funyarinpa Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Playing Limbo on my phone because I figured it would be the easiest version to pirate. It does not control very well, but the art style is pretty good if a bit too dark. Quote

Kosakyun Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Azure Dreams is occupying most of my time these days, so I might start a bit later. Quote
Getsuya Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Oh man huge blast from the past. I would definitely not mind playing Azure Dreams as one of the retro club games. Quote
Kosakyun Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Have all my love, Getsuya-chan. This is the first time someone recognized Azure Dreams in my experience. ;_; Quote
Getsuya Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 That game was my introduction to rougelikes before I even knew what a rougelike was. Quote
Kosakyun Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 ...I still don't know what a rougelike is. Anyway, I'm happy to know that you actually know the game. Finally, someone who'll know what a Pulunpa is! Quote
solidbatman Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 June choices are going to go up in the next couple days. Any particular genre's you guys would like to see? Quote
Getsuya Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Retro: Action RPG Modern: maybe Adventure, like one of the Telltale Games series or something Quote
Lexyvil Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I'm up for anything as long as it's freely downloadable~ Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I'll leave the retro suggestions to pros. Â But for modern games, maybe horror, I want to try stuff I don't usually play. Point&Click or adventure games could be fine as well. Quote
Getsuya Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I want to try Pokemon at least once. I'd second this if we made it a Nuzlocke Challenge. I only ever had fun with Pokemon the one time I tried out the challenge. It really makes you appreciate all the mechanics in the game as well as each Pokemon you meet. Quote

Getsuya Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I have no idea what that is, but it would probably interest me as well. Though I'm only playing Moemon. Moemon+Nuzlocke challenge would actually be amazing and heartbreaking. Nuzlocke Challenge has two rules: 1. You may only catch and keep the first Pokemon you run into in each new area 2. If a Pokemon faints it is 'dead' and you must release it  There are varying levels of difficulty, like just putting Pokemon into storage instead of releasing them, not counting duplicates if you run into the same Pokemon first in two different areas, whether you can use items or not and Pokemon centers or not, whether you perma-die if you ever lose all your Pokemon or stuff like that, but the main two rules are always constant.  It's suggested that you name all your Pokemon too since it helps you form a stronger bond with them.  Basically a Nuzlocke Challenge forces you to work with what you have and treat your Pokemon more carefully than you would if you were just playing normally. It makes them feel more like actual pets and less like just numbers that you throw at other numbers. Just imagining doing that with Moemon and I think I'd legit cry if any of them died. Quote
Kosakyun Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 W-Woah. If we're doing Nuzlocke challenge, it might be heartwrenching to lose one. The pain of losing a cute girl! Quote
Funyarinpa Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I am in if there is feels Pokémon is banal normally Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Moemon + Nuzlocke challenge sounds really cruel and exiting, now I kinda want to do it. I can already imagine all the heartbreaking stories. Getsuya 1 Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted May 27, 2015 Author Posted May 27, 2015 I would love to go through a Half minute hero month. Quote
Getsuya Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Moemon + Nuzlocke is a thing that must happen. It will probably be more agonizing than playing an actual nakige VN... because in the VN if a girl dies it's the writer's fault, but in Moemon if she dies it's because YOU FAILED HER AS A TRAINER!! Quote

Mugi Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I heard Moemon and Nuzlocke Next month has to be Moemon for the modern game Quote
Getsuya Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 If we actually do Moemon + Nuzlocke, I vote for Emerald version because Emerald version masterrace  If that doesn't get approved, someone can make a different thread focused on Moemon + Nuzlocke combo. I'd definitely take part in it. Yeah this is what I was thinking too. It's too fun of an idea to let slip away.  (And I agree Emerald would be better than Fire Red) Quote
