Siveria Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Is there such a thing as a VN with alot of H-scenes, but also has a decent plot? I am talking near nukige levels of h-content, but having a really good plot/story to go with it. Has to be one with a english translation, no Yaoi garbage either, but Yuri is ok . I am just curious if anything like this exists with a english translation. Quote
BookwormOtaku Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 The closest I can think of are Koihime Musou and Chain: The Lost Footprints and in both those cases it's because of the larger than normal heroine cast (the former more than the latter). http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2012/10/games-for-adults-koihime-musou-heart.html http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2012/10/games-for-adults-chain-lost-footprints.html Other than that, better hope the Kyonyuu Fantasy games get localized someday Quote
Siveria Posted April 5, 2015 Author Posted April 5, 2015 Hmm i've played a bit of koihime-musou, it was pretty good, nice retelling of the rotk storyline. Kyonyuu fanatasy? isin't that just those girls with boulders for tits? Yep it is, not my cup of tea, I prefer my girls with somewhat realistic cleavage, stuff like that is kinda gross to me, the stuff in Kyonyuu Fantasy I mean. Cythnar and AmamiRiku 2 Quote
ivanhoe88 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Cartagra Affliction of the soul has many H-scenes, where you take the role of a detective in the post-war era in Japan, my main problem with the game was that you (the player) couldn't take a lead role in the solve of the mistery; I find the plot good, but not great. It's the prequel of Kara no Shoujo, that has more detective's work, but you have to work more for some H-scenes, if you are interested. (Advice of body horror) Quote
GetterEmperor Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Monster Girl Quest and the recently released Bunny Black. Still playing Bunny Black though, but I've been through a couple H-scenes already and the story isn't too bad either. Quote
Deep Blue Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Bible Black if you can call that a decent plot Quote
Lexyvil Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Yu-No has one of the best plots I've ever seen in a game, but there are maybe not as many H-Scenes as you would like and they're dispersed throughout the game, so you simply can't hop in and get them right away oh and they're not as explicit as some might think. Though, they're there and adds good balance in terms of a good plot and some of those scenes. Quote
Silvz Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 > yaoi garbage oh, man, poor manhood that would be so simply lost because of a game Quote

People seem to like Euphoria's plot so you have that to look forward to when the english version (probably) comes out this summer. Quote
AlexZandria Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 > yaoi garbage oh, man, poor manhood that would be so simply lost because of a game Goshdarnit and I was totally going to suggest No, Thank You!!! when I saw the title ;( actually I wasn't going to suggest it but like honestly it is probably the closest game to what the OP would have wanted if it wasn't a Yaoi. It has a ton of sex scenes that are all pretty long with 50+ CGs to most of them and all the background noise along with the VOs and stuff, but it has a crazy good plot. It's ClockUp's 'sister' company so it looked like ones of their Nukige's but with actual plot thrown in. If OP doesn't mind hardcore/weird fetish stuff I feel like Euphoria is going to fit the bill though. It sounds like a really good "Get Out While You Can" plot but it's a nukige. It's a pretty iffy reccomendation though because I know it has a bunch of scat, torture, general SM, weird fetishes etc. Although they have the option to turn off watersports/scat so that should be a plus but still sadistic torture devices in your h-scenes might not be appealing to all. The game is listed on their site now but there's not even a pre-order date listed. How am I supposed to rape date cute girls, now? Quote
FinalChaos Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I agree on Monster Girl Quest. Though since I ain't too interested in femdom I mostly never lost willing (*ahem mostly), and the story is definitely great. Quote
Zodai Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Going to say Sengoku Rance, as it's probably the most sex-heavy of the games I've played thus far. Has mechanics as well as opposed to being a straight-up VN, but they're actually fairly good. The 'plot' is kind of simple but having played through it once myself I actually think the character development is really well-done. It's closer to being character-heavy as opposed to plot heavy but the story is strong enough to be passable if you removed the sex, in fact the only thing you'd really lose on that front is Rance's sex-crazed absurdity (Though that makes up a large part of the humor in the game) If you're looking for something strong in both, I'd say it's a good place to look. Clephas Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Nothing translated... but Erect comes to mind for untranslated, though the plot was whacky and it was mostly comedic. Quote
Permagate Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 For untranslated one, the first hour for Harumade Kururu is basically just a collection of mindless fucks, before switching entirely to mindfuckery for the rest of the game. Quote
Mikimir Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Nothing translated... but Erect comes to mind for untranslated, though the plot was whacky and it was mostly comedic. It was really boring but I guess it has an actual story... Really liked the artworks for that game though Quote

Kamidori have quite a great amount of H scenes, but pretty late in the game and the story is... well not too bad. Quote

Narcosis Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I could say the Monster Girl Quest vn's are quite similiar to what you are looking for - it's basically a nukige with plot (although it's not that great). Can't comment on Bunny Black yet, but Sengoku Rance is an incredibly sex heavy game, with a decent, albeit simple story to go with; the guy is basically on a quest to bone every single girl (princess?) in the world and plot revolves around having sex with preety girls. One could argue whether Cannoball qualifies as well; when you look at it from one perspective, it has a lot of erotic content (like, really a lot), although it's light years away from being a nukige; there's some fetish pandering hidden in side routes, but most of the ero scenes are quite tastefully done and the portrayal of romantic relationship between Foxbat and Filho is <3 A really captivating space opera ( awesome racing in space with nekomimis!) with great, likeable characters. I'd say, why not give it a try? Aside from that... Monobeno Pray for that TL to come in less than five years, though. Quote
Cythnar Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Monster Girl Quest. As the saying goes, "Came for the porn, stayed for the plot." It's not bad, the OST is great, and you can avoid 99% of the reverse-rape scenes. And Ice, is Cannonball really that good? I have it on my drive, but I only checked out a few minutes of it... Something about the protagonist rubbed me funny. Maybe the way he talks. >_> Quote
Narcosis Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 And Ice, is Cannonball really that good? I have it on my drive, but I only checked out a few minutes of it... Something about the protagonist rubbed me funny. Maybe the way he talks. >_> It is. As usual, YMMV but I consider the story to be really solid (even though, some of the side routes could be skipped and you actually don't need to follow them). The setting itself is quite oldschool and there's a lot of references to popculture and sci-fi literature; without some knowledge, game definately loses some of it's charm, but it's still a great and entertaining read nontheless. It breaks a lot of classic vn stereotypes (like the protagonist being allmighty and defending his sacred harem, for example; sex scenes are really kinky at times, but the relationship between Filho and Foxy is honest for an eroge; it's a real love story and the portrayal of that love is all about dialogue instead of typical "guy gets on a girl, regardless whether she likes it, or not"). Filho might look like a typical, smirking shonen hero in the beggining, but trust me - as the story progresses, both he and Foxbat gain a lot of depth; it's basically the only vn protag I haven't personally disliked in one way or another. Foxbat confirmed for best female lead / tsun waifu. Also wheee for sexually experienced characters. How could anyone call Cannonball bad, dunno lol. It's more like a hidden and underappreciated gem. TL&DR It's an oldschool eroge game, back from the days when Liar-Soft began their adventure on the market. It has a very distinct, doujin feel; the art is specific, you need to be a fan of LS games and it's not to everyone's tastes. Regardless, I'd still recommend to give it a try. PS. It has catgirls. Lot's of 'em. IN SPACE. Cythnar 1 Quote

Lot's of 'em. IN SPACE. I tried cannonball, but my biggest gripe with it is that it is about 80% RNG as to what place you are going to end up in during the race segments, and even doing the exact same thing on the same race multiple times will net you wildly varying results. This makes the game a pain in the ass to do certain events. I come from games where RNG is really common, but Cannonball took the cake from me, I did not give it, it stole it. Doing the same exact race 10 times in a row, doing the exact same thing every time, should at least lead to predictable results, but you will not get them. 10/10 times the result would be different, and that is what breaks this game for me as a never recommend. The worst thing a game can do is to make the player feel like they have no control, and that is exactly what Cannonball felt like to me, I could never influence the outcome of the race. I give a second recommend for Bunny Black. The plot isn't the greatest, but I still found it enjoyable. It's a dungeon crawler though, so if you aren't interested in gameplay VN's I got nothing.
