WAIT!? ARE THEY SERIOUSLY USING THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS AS INSPIRATION!?

For the record, yes, I peed a little I got so excited over the idea of a TDKR live action movie. The more this movie borrows from Returns, the better. Minus Superman's personality.

Hmm, sounds like a good excuse to finally watch the Batman movies... ah, who am I kidding, I'll just stick to my Marvel movies.

Hmm yes good excuse to go rewatch the superior Batman movies, aka the Burton ones, and ignore the rest :3

It's what comic book fans do :3

Which is why I keep to myself about comics I read.

Back to the trailer, the last few seconds reminded me heavily of frank Miller's graphic novel turned animated movie, The Dark Knight Returns.

Personally, I enjoyed Man of Steel, though much of my enjoyment may have come because I didn't read any Supes comics, or see any of the old movies. I had a lot of fun watching it, and the special effects were amazing. Zack Snyder is a decent enough director in my eyes (Watchmen not withstanding) and he is capable of fun, interesting movies.

i wasnt a man of steel fan. too dark and brooding. its like they made a different batman film. i never read the old comics for superman and im not a huge superman fan but i still liked the "boy scout" aspect of him. the wide eyed, a bit naive, down to earth, nice guy. i also liked his relationship with batman. they may fight all the time (Verbally) and go head to head on their different ideas, but they were still best friends and would die for the other guy. they had a mutual trust with one another. i was never looking forward to this movie. i knew it was just going to be hollywood going "Look! It's your two favorite super heroes going head to head! Get hyped and give me money!" we all know how its going to go. theyre both gonna put up a good fight and both are gonna come close to losing and then come back and fight some more before realizing that they work better together. its easy to come up with a reason to have two different ideas fight it out but its even harder to keep them from doing that and thats the more interesting one.

I think I'm most excited to see what the lead up to all of it is. In this film, it comes across that Batman is the aggressor, so I'm looking forward to that aspect. Another interesting aspect to keep an eye on is Lex Luthor. He is in this film, played by Jessie Eisenberg I believe.

I'm curious about this even though I wasn't particularly fond of Man of Steel (will admit it had a few good points though). I really hope this surpasses my expectations because I really want some good DC movies besides ones that feature Batman. While I love the Marvel movies, it's DC that  I have a bigger attachment to having grown up with the DCAU and the first comic series I got into was Green Lantern.

AAAAAAAAll of my hype.  :kosame:

This is one of my most anticipated superhero movies.

While the basic plot of the movie is kinda obvious, bats vs supes at first and then both make friends and decide to fight together (I mean it's got Dawn of Justice in it's name you just can't get any more obvious).

That being said I'm still looking forward to it. The major reason being that it's got Batman my favourite super hero beating down Superman who I don't like at all.

And I do think that it will be better off having a dark tone as that will create a proper difference from the marvel movies which are concentrating on the fun aspect already.
