Bolverk Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 If you can't feel immersed in the story that's not really much you can do with at the moment. Different things click right with each person. Because we are different individuals with different viewpoints. Although that is fine, I prefer to broaden my own views. Therefore I'd recommend you try to analyze your own thoughts. Why is it boring, what is enjoyable with it. I am perhaps being biased in what I want to see vs what I am seeing? Following this line of thought, you seem to have a wrong idea what Evangelion is about. As it's not about mechs fighting, It's about Human psyche. How the characters react to the story and events unfolding. So try to think around that. Quote
SilverLi Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 If you picked it yourself and don't enjoy it, drop it. If you aren't a masochist in other words. But in this case this is a task you signed up for. Compare it to a class in school were you all had to read a book the teacher picked and afterwards do a review of it. It sucks but if you got the right mind and can process positive and negative sides of everything even though you don't like it you are fine. Just do what you are supposed to do. Actually I have read books in school I despised but when I finished and reviewed it I changed my mind and thought it was decent/good. Give it a shot and think rationally. You are not a fanboy so your opinion and critique of the anime could open up a good discussion. Quote

Kosakyun Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I can't really hate anything, so as long as I see something interesting about it (or cute girls), I usually watch it. I haven't dropped anything. Quote
Chewy Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 1) Drop it. 2) Play a game or talk on skype and run anime in background so ive watched it and vaguely remember it Quote
Cyrillej1 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 1) Drop it. 2) Watch it on Dub/English voice, so I can do other things while listening and glancing over every now and then. That way, I get the gist of what's going on at least. 3) If it's only Japanese w/subtitles... well, then, I sit there and watch through it in agony. -glances over at Stray Cat- Quote

Narcosis Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Don't watch it? There's no reason to force yourself to do things you don't like. Quote
